What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the compact, lightweight design and convenient screw-based blade replacement system that allows quick swaps using coins. Most appreciate its portability for daily carry and reliability in professional settings. However, several report the belt clip breaks easily and the retaining screw strips or goes missing. Many also express frustration finding compatible replacement blades that fit snugly without rattling. Despite durability concerns, most customers consider it a dependable everyday tool worth the investment.

I have had many of these over the years (most the TSA now has), they are so small and light you forget it's there. I like the ability to change blades when needed instead of sharpening. Not a survival knife but for an EDC it's perfect. It also makes a great gift since the price point is so low.

So the darned thing gets 'locked' in the open position. Took me forever to figure out how to get the 'safety' latch to disengage (plus I needed a flat-head screwdriver to wedge into the mechanism to keep it in position enough to allow the unit to close). Will be fine if I only use it at home with a screwdriver/letter opener/butter-knife to enable me to close it. All bets are off if use it in a location without those side tools handy. (and as a side note, I needed a utility blade to carve open th...

Eab utility knives
The eab series utility knives is great. Love it. It's light weight and real sharp. Only thing I have against it is tht I wld love it if Gerber them selfs would make replacement blades for this knives. I like tht the blade tht comes with it is thicker then any other replacement blades I've ever bought. Even the carbon ones tht r really pricey. Nothing has compared to the blade tht comes with it. So I keep it on there as long as I can. And just sharpen it when need be. But it wld b great to have r...

I love how this knife clips discretely into the watchpocket that any respectable pair of jeans or work pants have. I carry one almost all the time and have a few since they go through the wash from time to time. Always seem to get them back : ) Two things to make it perfect, blade protection for the unused edge and tool-less blade changes. I'd still get another just the way it is if I ever completely lost one.

Perfect EDC Knife
This is the perfect knife for me to carry every day! The price point is awesome. I love the good quality, sturdy frame, and especially the ability to change the blade out with any standard boxcutter refill. I often forgot to sharpen my old knives when the blade dulls, and with this I can drop a 10 count of boxcutters in the house, car, office, etc and always have plenty of razor sharp backup blades on hand. I've bent the clip off at work many times and it easily bends back into place with some p...

Nearly perfect, love this knife, everyday carry
This is the ideal pocket knife for me. super compact and lightweight, large clip so it stay in place inside the top of my pocket. The replaceable utility blade means I don't have to worry about damaging the blade. This also is great if you forget you have your knife and are going to airport security, you can just discard the blade. The blade guard is JUSY big enough enough. It's not made for super heavy duty work but for every day use and convivence it is ideal. the only thing I would change is ...

Brilliant Utility Knife
I found this really handy. I worked in Liquor retail for five years and was forever cutting up think cardboard boxes. We were supplied with these pathetic and cumbersome utility knives with dinky little blades. I ditched those and bought the EAB. Small so it fits easily into your pocket so I had it when I needed it. Not wasting time looking for a utility knife like the rest of the crew. I bought tungsten carbide blades for it. Too easy. These blades only cost a little more and retain their sharp...

This knife is my favorite tool. I open a lot of boxes at my job, and breakdown a lot of boxes. I absolutely loved this knife, but sadly I lost it. I will order 2 when it becomes available again. Please let me know when it does become available! I need it back again.

I like the size of this utility knife. It's short when folded and unfolded, and it's thin to it doesn't take up much room in a pocket. However, I really wish this knife had a quick blade change feature. For example the Milwaukee fastback has a button you can push that releases the blade. The Gerber EAB lite just has a screw, which means you need another tool, such as a flat head screwdriver, to release the blade. The screw is tiny and easy to drop. This utility knife would be perfect and probabl...

I bought one week and half ago. used a milwaukee version of this knife couple years till clip broke . took this one out of package and was immediatly disgusted when i seen that spec of a screw holding the blade!!!!! then i noticed there is no good spot for my right thumb to push open . gonna make my own modifications and use until i lose or break it. it is the second product ive bought with gerber name on it this year and im done .NO MORE. not real impressed with the stainless multi tool either....

Have used handiknives for years. I always carry this one. This beats them all for pocket chores. Easily clips inside my change pocket, compleetly safe and functional open and shut. Only ever need an other type of handiknife when I have to force the blade through an extended amount or tough material. Great product!

Union Carpenter that got lost in Construction Management
After buying a bunch of nice EDC folding knives this ended up being my day-to-day go-to. You can use either a USA penny or dime to easily unscrew the blade-retaining flat-head. (So many hyphens!) I wear XL gloves and I can still full hand grip this knife because of the high blade choke. I've been using it for a few months now and I came here just to write a review. I also just bought 10 more to hand out to people I like at the job site. Inexpensive, useful, and well made. One reviewer said he br...

Manly Man
This knife is amazing! Easy to use, good grip even for large hands, nice weight, and fun to just have as a toy in your pocket. The down side to the E.A.B. line and what is making it a one hit wonder is the blade retention system was not designed to work with the reality of the utility blade supplies that are available at the hardware store. The knife is designed to only use an extreamly heavy duty replacement blade not standard off the shelf common blades. The retaining screw is a soft metal and...

I bought this about 4 years ago. It's very unique and handy to have. I mostly use it as a money clip, but very useful for cutting. It's very light, and safe to use and carry in pocket.

Broken Clip
I loved this knife while it lasted, until the clip broke. Now it is much harder to use as I have to dig around my pocket to find it, and because of this I will be switching back to my old boxcutter.

Great All Around Pocket Knife.
I bought this knife to replace my old pocket knife. Great handle, easy to open, clips easily to jeans or belt. Very discreet. Lifetime, endless supply knife due to the ability to replace blades. 100% hand me down knife from generation to generation. Superior product from Gerber. When I buy a knife, I only buy Gerber.

Use a dime to change the blade it clips onto the screw perfectly you can pull it all the way out and the screw stays attached to the dime no need for screwdriver

Needs a thumb style for opening.
This little utility knife if small and discrete which I like. But it's kind of dangerous to open. Especially trying to open one handed. If it could have the thumb flip style opener at the end it would make it more convenient and safer to open. You could keep the same frame design also.
