Purchased in the Nick-Of-Time !
I worked hard to find a full service dealer and settled on FD-Hayes, Lansing MI and was extremely pleased with their recommendations for this unit, installation and training. I had this installed on a Monday and literally that Thursday we lost power for 4 days and this unit performed admirably. The safety-switch mechanism on the breaker box was foolproof and the electric start was a real help. I ran it about 24 hours on a single tank of gas, it saved my frozen foods and kept my fridges at tem...

My Generator
Would RecommendThis generator is a beast, I haven’t had a power outage yet but I ran it for 12 hours on a tank of gas just to try it and it didn’t miss a beat, I could run anything in the house with no problems, it’s a little expensive but anything that’s worth having usually is especially in the winter months in Michigan and I am so glad I have a backup plan 😊

Gen replacement
Would RecommendThe first one had a bad LP regulator. Home Depot was great at getting it swapped. The replacement ran like a champ.

Recommend the GP8000E to power a home
The GP8000E works well for running our whole house. We had an outage for 2 days and were able to run our whole house without any issues. We have a well water pump, AC, refrigerator, freezer, lights, etc. We did not encounter any issues. The portability works well for moving and storage.

Peace of mind
The product seems to be working well although we have not had to use it since installation.

First impression, this is heavy and more than I ne
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The generac 9500 is nice. However it is heavy, like 265 lbs. I thought I would be able to use it more but not a lot of opportunity at this point. It stays tucked in the garage. It does make some noise but not as load as my old air compressor. Overall I think it is a good product I just don’t have a lot of use for it. I requested it to see if this app would sent me something that big. Knowing Influenster will I will be more targeted in the futu...

Save your money
Would Not RecommendWhat a waste of money. Worked great for the first month, now it won't stay running for more than 20 minutes at a time. Any time you put a load on it, it dies. This seems to be especially true if you have to use it on hot days. (Which when you're using it on an RV is when you need it the most).

Bigger than advertised
Would RecommendGreat generator and I've owned several over years. Very much leaning toward it being much stronger than 6500 it's more like an 8500.... Also idk what they're talking about 10.5hrs on a tank I powered my home 19.5hrs on same tank of gas during a several days outage.

Came just in time for Hurricane Season!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really very pleased with this generator. We live on a South Carolina barrier island and we can get hammered during hurricane season. I love that it can run on Gasoline, Liquefied Petroleum Gas or Natural Gas and you can switch between them. It has a large capacity fuel tank and extended run time. The delivery guy was super complimentary of this specific model and Generac in general. This gives us such a sense of security, knowing if a storm...

Not impressed with Generac equipment and parts
Would Not RecommendBought GP8000E in Feb 2025. Only had to use 4 times, had no problems until now June 20, 2025. Now one of the GFCI output units keeps tripping after 7 seconds with nothing plugged into it. The reset button keeps popping out. Tried pushing the reset button also. The GFCI is bad, this problem should not be happening after only 4 uses. The unit is only 5 months old. Generac reports they have none of these GFCI units in stock and do not know when they will be available to ship. Generac service deale...

Great!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compact, reliable power. This GP9500E from Generac has a small footprint, yet packs some serious power. This is capable of running on gasoline, LP (propane) or natural gas. Rated at 12500 starting watts and 9500 running watts when running on gasoline. The 500cc OHV (over head valve) engine features electric start with the included battery, as well as the old school pull start just in case the battery or something fails. It holds 7.5 gallons of ...

Electric start, Tri Fuel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac GP9500E is a portable generator capable of using gasoline, liquid propane or natural gas (Tri-fuel). With electric start and wheeled cart, this generator is easy for anyone to use. 9.5 hour run time on gasoline, (7.5 gal) 4.5 hours on a 20lb propane tank (when used at 50% power). Used a CO2 sensor to automatically stop and alert user to dangerous levels. Included are engine oil, battery, and 4 foot LP hose with regulator. Weighs in at 2...

Portable replacement for a standby
No major loads put on it yet, but so far so good on this generator. Starts easy, not too loud. Nice that it came with a start up kit, wheels, and a handle which seems to be extras on other brands. Idle control when running with no load would be nice, but it wasn't a deal killer. I like the steel fuel tank and the quality of the fuel shot off valve. Went with the portable unit with manual transfer switch when the old standby failed. Will be nice to have it in the garage, out the elements, r...
