Would RecommendIt worked well the one time we’ve had to use it already.

Solid, well-made unit.
This generator is everything it claims to be. Easy to set-up, use and is reliable. I hooked it up to my home for a test-run the day after I received it. It started up instantly and powered the entire "critical function" sub-panel in my home (HVAC, water/well, freezers/refrigerators, water heater (gas), water softener, garage door, washer/dryer (gas), WIFI/network and critical lights/outlets). We built our home in 1998 (just prior to "Y2K", ha!) and included the sub-panel. I toyed with the ide...

after purchasing a different brand and having problems right out of the box with both products I bought this generac portable generator with a generic transfer switch and having it installed by a licensed electrician and approved by my local county all systems are go fortunately have not needed to use it this winter yet but I've had a generac in the past that served me very well

Great quality
Would RecommendThe Generac generator that I purchased for our fiber splicing trailer has been great. We haven't had any issues thus far. It is easy to start and starts quickly even in cold weather. It is very quite compared to most others and the gas usage is very minimal. We are more than pleased with our Generac!

Great Generator!!! So grateful for it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful generator! Heavy duty. Gas fueled. Works great and cost effective. The only downside is that it’s very heavy and you need more than one very strong person for initial set up or to even move it and put it together!

Big and durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been very cold in Wisconsin so I did not have the time to assemble the generator onto its wheels, but I will get to that soon and update my review if needed! This is a very sturdy, powerful and durable piece of machinery. I’m happy to have this for peace of mind if we were to need to use a generator!

Reliable and easy to setup!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Generac GP5500 Single-Fuel (50-State) from Influenster and Generac in exchange for an honest review, and after using it during a recent outage and for a few home projects, I’m genuinely impressed with its performance. The GP5500 has power to spare. It ran all of my essential home items—refrigerator, freezer, Wi-Fi, several lights, and even the microwave—without any strain or noticeable fluctuations. I’ve also used it to power a c...

Amazing Generator!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac Power Systems GP4000 Dual Fuel 49 ST Portable Generator works amazingly well. We have power outages a lot where we live, especially in winter with all the rainstorms, so this has already come in handy a few times. It's a big generator and will work to power your essentials, but not so big you that it's ridiculously hard to get out of storage and get started. It's a pull start which is easy to use. I do wish it had a push start option as...

Better safe than sorry!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generac generator is perfect for our needs and I'm glad we have it! Fortunately, we have not had to run it for an extended period of time since receiving; however, test runs have been successful and it seems like it will work efficiently and as expected for when we need it to run for hours. The generator came on a pallet and was packaged well. It is HEAVY without the wheels and handles. About 170 lbs I believe. So you'll want at least two...

Awesome well built generator!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an awesome generator!! Just the quality of it is immensely high quality. It is definitely heavy, it did take 3 people to get it up stairs. However, once the handle and wheels are installed it’s much easier to handle and move. The controls are nice and not too complex once you read the instructions. Its fantastic for camping!

Lifesaver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Down here in southeast Louisiana, you learn real quick that having a generator isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. I picked up the Generac GP5500E mainly for hurricane season, and let me tell you, it has already earned its keep. The electric start is a lifesaver when the power’s out and it’s hot, humid, and you’re trying to get things running fast. It fired right up with no fuss. It’s got plenty of power for what we need: fridge, freezer, a few...

Lower noise level than other generator and simple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to assemble and to wheel around. Weighted over 200 lbs so it was a challenge to move the whole box. Works great and low noise. Full tank can go about 10 hrs of run time and I’m happy with that. Easy plug in and use.

Good in a pinch!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This portable generator will work in a pinch if there is a power outage. It’s easy to use, easy to move, and has enough output to power most appliances. Buyers should understand that generator won’t be able to power multiple major appliances, but you can power a refrigerator or freezer just fine! The GP5500 runs on unleaded gasoline and has a run time of about 10hrs. It was easy to assemble and took about 20mins to put on the handle, wheels, ...

I’m sold on this generator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want a generator that’s strong, reliable, and not hard to figure out, the Generac GP5500 is a great choice. I was scared of this generator at first. I am glad to have it for power outages and outdoor use, and it really delivered. With a bit of help I was able to get it up and running. Let’s talk about the pros and cons and why it may be a good choice for you. Pros • Plenty of power for the essentials — fridge, freezer, lights,...

Great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already knew something about this brand; I know it's one of the best brands for power generators, and it certainly is. It's been a huge help, as it can even power a refrigerator and many other things at the same time. As is well known, they are very noisy, but that's the least of our worries since there's no electricity. And we shouldn't put it near the house; it should be placed further away for everyone's safety, especially if it's used at ...
