Would RecommendThese ball catches fit perfectly on the top of our french doors. It's great you can adjust the height of the ball itself (or the "tension" of it against the strike plate, in other words). The satin nickel color goes very well with our door knobs, hinges, and other hardware we have around the house.
Big improvement over the builder grade version
Would RecommendThe builder-grade version of this style of door latch broke so I'm hoping that this version is an upgrade. The steel ball popped out of the builder grade version, which is pretty annoying in addition to being a choking hazard for little kids. There is a flange on this one, which the builder grade version does not have. Ideally one would recess the flange but since it's on top of the door is not very visible, if at all. If it is visble one can paint the edge of even use a marker or white-out ...

Would RecommendMinor trimming was needed to the doors to replace with this product. These work well with where the existing pieces were mounted
