GPS functions doesn't work from the GPS Company

I bought fenix 7s saphire solar edition last year. I was somewhat disappointed in that it didn't have the EKG feature like the year old apple watch. The wrist based HR monitor works well in day to day activity. However, on the days I run or ride my bike, the heart rate monitor seems to be off by more than 10% which at times puts me in a higher training zones. In Love! Switch From Apple Now!

I was skeptical after years with my Apple watch. My husband bought us Garmin watches as we are training for a spartan next year, and battery life is an issue with Apple when using GPS. This watch is so beautiful, and I only have to charge it once a week, even when using GPS to track runs. There is a learning curve when moving from the Apple Fitness App to the Garmin Connect App, but after a few weeks, it was smooth sailing. Please do it!

Wow! What a watch ... more like a data center!

I haven't had this watch for long but it didn't take long to see how much upgraded it is above my older Fenix 5S plus. So many data points and what feels like more accurate readings, esp on my HR and sleep data points. The running metrics are very helpful for me, a perpetual (and aging) beginner, to have an idea where I can make improvements above & beyond what the 5S was able to provide. Stylish and Motivating

Love the color and size of this watch. It motivates me every day to be more active and take care of my health and well-being. I am a swimmer and the Post workout charts are like having a coach by your side. Motivational and insightful. Highly recommend Garmin.

2 year Owner

I bought this watch almost 2 years ago, wanted to share my thoughts on the performance and value. I chose the smaller face due to concerns with possible damage at work, wish I had gotten the mid size face as maps are harder to see on this smaller size. The only other regret is not being able to get the ekg monitor on this model, it does not support this feature. Great versatility

I bit the bullet and bought this watch when it was on sale. I previously had 3 vivo active Garmin. When my last watch heart rate died I knew it was time to invest in a nice watch. I am a very active runner. I have loved the upgrades this watch has. The battery life has been a huge upgrade. I use GPS a lot for when I go on walks or runs and I still get several days out of the battery. I am 5”3 and have small wrists but the 42 fits just right.

Garmins are truely the best

I have used Garmin watched for 20 years and they never let me down! Everyone I talk to I tell them to buy a Garmin. You only get the best and the watch has so many options! As always they have out done themselves

Amazing Fitness Watch

This watch is ideal for a multi-sport / multi-hobby athlete, especially one that wants daily fitness tracking as well. I absolutely love the feel, features and look!

I bought this a month ago and have used it for surfing, yoga, running and backpacking. I love how accurate its tracking is and the variety of activities and apps it offers. Unfortunately, it died on me on a backpacking trip. It was showing 5 days of battery life left,

App doesn’t work.

Watch looks great. However, the connect app constantly crashes. I’ve done everything recommended, including restarting watch, phone, re installing the app, etc. If the app doesn’t work, it renders the watch useless. Tech support just said it was probably a glitch and would look into it. If Garmin makes a habit of releasing updates of their app that doesn’t work, I’m not keeping this watch.

Great watch, but has some flaws.

I bought this watch about a month ago now because I wanted to transition from my Apple Watch to more of a fitness based watch with GPS, and I really wanted something with better battery life. Great watch. Band options are lacking. Paid for itself in the first week when I dropped my phone and could trace my steps using the watch.

Conflicted

I bought this watch a couple of months ago. It is overkill for my lifestyle but I chose it for a couple of reasons. The most important to me is the ability to listen to podcasts without brining my phone on the trails. Best performer

The Garmin fenix is the best of what counts relative to a smart watch for sports: battery life, ruggedness, GPS tracking, and on-screen maps, all of which are stand-alone capabilities without being next to a phone.
