Overall great product

I've had my Garmin Instinct 2 Solar for a couple weeks, now. I had once utilized a Casio G-Shock Solar, until a part of the watch face attachment broke off and I couldn't re-attach the metal band anymore. I went to a Fitbit smartwatch for a period of time, but really missed the durability of a comfortable metal band with a larger round watchface. No touch screen

The watch is great, however way to complicated to use for simple tasks ie timer etc

A new adventure

I needed a new watch as my present watch decided to go to watch heaven. I decided to move up a huge level and picked the Instinct 2 Solar. It requires a little learning curve but I’m conquering the curve. With all the tech that’s in this watch I’ve learned a little more about my status and moving into optimizing exercise. I’m 71 years old and I can say that I am ready for some new tricks to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Overall, a great purchase.

Some Good Fetures, Some Bad

Heart Rate Monitor is great. Run/Walk features very good. Golf app is great. Sleep app is only fair. Terrible at counting steps. It really only counts arm swings and not steps at all.

Great watch

The garmin instinct solar 2 has done everything that I have asked it to do. I use it to record my hikes and cycling workouts. It does a great job recording my activities in in the deep woods. The built in solar charging extends the battery life. On two separate occasions I have been able to record two days of gps activity without recharging. My only issue is that it is hard to read in low light.

Still learning

My experience with this watch so far is good. My expectations of the watch have not been tested yet and me being in my senior years may not. In years past I used the Garmin for way points and area calculations for work and fires. The wearable GPS was a great tool. I will still use the GPS for track back and way points. Never know if I will need the GPS coordinates for mapping but nice to have the option. I like the lightweight and comfortable watch. It’s not my everyday watch because I do some...

So much data!

It’s a change from my VivoActive due to no touchscreen but it has way more features and a much improved battery. Still navigating some of the bells and whistles but so far it’s awesome!

Still working on the learning curve, but got the buttons down quickly. Now to decide what I want and don’t, but plenty of choices, and is working great for my needs. Love the long, long battery life.

Great Product

I have had the watch for the better part of a year. I haven't had any issues.Great product. Extremely durable and the battery lasts forever. I have gone a total of 3 weeks without charging and the watch functions without any issues. It also has the ability to display SMS messages. For other LEOs, it has a great haptic feedback when it's trying to notify the user, which is great when you need to be absolutely quiet or be discreet. Lackluster

The watch doesn’t register blood pressure like the original Instinct. It takes a lot for it to Solar charge, I don’t quite understand the ability to Solar charge. The other feature upgrades are minimal with BP registering or lack Solar charge efficiency.

Great watch!

This watch has served me well for about the last year. I have used it swimming, biking, running, hiking and all the day to day uses. The only downside I had to say about it is how it is a black and white screen. It has great battery life. The gps is also outstanding when hiking and swimming. This product is great for beginners and experts who need a more affordable watch that can do it all! I would recommend this watch to anyone!

It was a swap-out because another failed on me. I DO appreciate the efforts put forth by Garmin. I’ve owned them for a few years now… so this solidifies my continued use.

So happy to have a watch that doesn’t die after 6 hours. Still trying to figure out how to set exercises. Able to get to the desired setting but then can’t get it to record what I am doing

Great watch, battery life not as expected.

I have had this for about a month. I wanted to replace my apple watch with something a little more simple. The activity tracking is great and it is an all around great watch. The downsides are the out of the box watch faces leave a lot to be desired and the online builder is 3rd party and clunky at best. I do about a 2 hour bike ride every day and spend even more out in the sun and the solar doesnt seem to extend the battery life much at all, i can only get about 7 days out of a charge. I am sur...

Not bad

Good watch I've had it about a month now, great for work. The HR sensor doesn't work because I have tattoos on my arm so that sucks, my Apple Watch never had any problems but whatever. But anyways it's super durable, tracks my runs, battery lasts forever. Just overpriced.

Love it.

I had the Instinct solar 1 for quite a while and when the battery stopped holding a charge, I bought the Solar 2. I love most things, but, wish customizing the favorite activities was easier.
