Such junk!!!!!

Got this in October of 2024, lasted two hours. Finally got it charged back up and tried to update per Garmin's guidance. Software showed up to date so no fixes on my watch. Still a poor screen, clunky menu, features that work half way. I've never disliked a purchase more and cannot recommend at all. I've had an original Garmin Etrex personal GPS which was amazing and built like a tank. I cannot say the same for this watch. Wish I could rate lower than 1 star.

Would like to return

Difficult to use especially if your right handed, just trying to turn the light on is a challenge, if you mistakenly hit the button next to light you have to start hitting button to get back where you were. If you click on something by mistake your screwed, takes time to get back to clock face. I just have stuck with Vivoactive jus tap and the light goes on. Junk data

First: this watch does what I absolutely need it to do so I’m happy (running, running workouts, and battery life). I like the look of it, and I like having a stopwatch/timer. However, for swimming laps it’s junk in terms of logging data. I have swam 50 yards and it doesn’t register — literally did a total of 200 and it logged 125. Nice watch

I had an older model and wanted to move to the newer model. I like the new model it has a couple additional features. It is easier to use maybe because it is a bit faster then the older model. The solar is nice. It extends the life of the battery. Nice to have the latest.

Insane battery life and useful features

I’ve had this watch for almost 3 weeks now and genuinely like it. I haven’t been able to test the solar much but I have seen it charge even during the winter months, which is pretty cool. While it can’t do everything an Apple Watch can do, that seems to be more of a limitation by Apple. For instance, you cannot mirror your focus time back to your watch from your phone. My first smart watch.

Overall I really like it. Battery life seems good and the features I most want to know about are all on the face and easy to read. It is capable of doing more than I’ll ever need it to, which says a lot about the watch. I also like my heart rate transmits flawlessly to my Garmin bike computer making it nice and easy to read while riding.

Long Lasting Charge

I bought this watch about a month ago. I haven't really had time to explore the many features, but I absolutely love the fact that I don't have to charge it every few days even after walking in the woods for hours. Although it is winter, I'm assuming that the sunlight is impacting its ability to recharge. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm not getting any stats on my indoor biking; nevertheless, I am overall quite happy with this watch.

Very impressed

I love that I don’t have to put my glasses on while hiking or snowshoeing the face is so clear to see! It has so much it is a challenge to learn all that one can do but I will get there! What is needed are better tutorials that are a little slower to pick up on.

Perfect Health Tool

I love the watch. I’ve found myself checking it more often than my phone to see my daily trends. It’s very user friendly and would highly recommend it to anyone that’s looking to get their health back in order.

Practical Smartwartch

Coming from Suunto, this interface was a little foreign to me but after checking out some online videos it became much easier. Super happy with this watch and love the metrics it tracks without being too frilly.

Better watch faces

Having trouble getting faces. Would be a alot easier doing it from the app.

My Instinct 2 Solar is amazing

My Instinct 2 Solar has all the features and all the durability of my old Instinct Solar but includes all the great features that I enjoy from my Forerunner 945 like garmin pay and the triathlon sport app. Notifications are much quicker now too

Great battery life and durability. New to Garmin.

We bought this for Blackfriday Christmad gifts so far way better than our old Suuntos GPS tracks very quickly. Super happy. The only issue is base color and swapping of bands not a great color mix palet available.

Great watch

I’ve had the Instinct 2 solar for a little over a year now and have been very happy with it. I’ve mostly used it as an everyday watch, to track runs and more recently to record hunts that involve lots of hiking and it’s done great for all. I really like how the gps tracks my routes and records distance that I would otherwise have no way to accurately measure. battery dies

Battery dies approximately 36 hours after socket charging whether left in sunlight thereafter or not. Very difficult, if not impossible , to obtain "terms and conditions" "agreement" as well as "Bazaarvoice Privacy Policy". So, what is up here? Are only those willing to agree to any thing and everything encouraged to submit reviews?

This is a geat watch!

I am an average to maybe just above average runner and this watch gives me all the data I need. Getting the Garmin pay feature is a lovely little addition too.
