I bought the 255 after the case on my 645 broke. The 255 is way more accurate and has better battery life. I recently completed a 12 hour run, that would have been impossible with the 645M. I can program workouts and basic navigation and that’s enough features for me.

Always bought Fitbit for years. My last two Fitbits were disappointing. I love my 255, I am a Garmin guy now. I did have to adjust using the buttons for all the functions.

A Great Smart Watch for a fair price

Loyal to Garmin
I’ve used Garmin products (cycling computers and triathlon watches) for years. I decided to give an Apple Watch a try. The Apple watch has some really nice features but the batteries don’t last. I love the battery life of garmin watches and well as the various options for running, swimming or cycling and many other activities. The gps connects quickly and seems accurate. I am very happy with my purchase of the Garmin Forerunner 255.

Freaking Battery Life!!!
This was an upgrade from the Forerunner 245 and what an upgrade!!! First the Battery life! I thought it was joking when it said 11days!! Even with 60+mile bike rides and 10+mile runs, 9 days of battery life is pretty legit. I also enjoy the “Morning Report” I get every day as well as the accuracy of the GPS. I could go on about the activity options as there are many…let’s just keep it as the best watch I have purchased.

Garmin vs Fitbit
I had only used Fitbit watches for 8 years. I had problems with the last three. The last one (Versa 4) the GPS was always wrong. It was hard leaving Fitbit because it was my first fitness watch. I decided to try a Garmin and I am glad. It was hard using the buttons to navigate for a few day, but that task is second nature, now. The GPS is quick and correct.

Very Nice!
Upgraded from Forerunner 235 about a month ago and am really enjoying the 255. All the features the I had downloaded IQ apps for with the 235 are native with the 255. Plus there are features that I hadn't even thought of that I now use daily.

Not a fan
Not as easy to use as I was hoping for. Randomly changes screens and vibrates for no reason. Not as intuitive as other watches I’ve used.
