Great features!

Does it all! Has more technology than I thought I needed.

Disappointed

Was surprised to discover that the green undulation feature, the reason why I bought the S70, was an annual subscription service. My old Golfbuddy Aim W10 provides this feature for free. Also, my Garmin Fenix 7 golf app lets me cycle the hazards on a fairway. The S70 does not do this. The S70 screen is a lot brighter than my Fenix 7.

I love it,

it is accurate and friendly to use, however, I would like to see more bluetooth coverage, any time you go away from the cell that usually you have to leave it in the car, the watch constanly disconect just a few feet away from the cell phone, and there is zone in the course where you must leave the car away from the shot. It is a great golf watch, just will be nicer if the blue tooh will have longe range.

Great display

Absolutely love the brightness of the display didn’t have any problems on the course and it was spot on with the distance to the pin.

I bought it for golf, but I am using it every day and love all the features it hosts. Can’t wait for golf season to start!

my daughter and son-in-law bought it a month ago and used it on several rounds of golf and it was great.

more golf focused than my fenix 6x pro

a great update to the screen. the golf app maps on the s70 are great and make using the watch during rounds fun.

Great upgrade

I had to get a new watch because my old S60's battery went bad. The S70 is a remarkable upgrade. Battery lasts WAY longer, has some cool features, and i like the new operating system on it. Stunk to have to buy something new but at least I had to because if the battery.

This watch has all the features that I wanted.

I already like the health aspect of this watch. I have not used the golf features yet, but look forward to the virtual caddie.

Great screen but lacks range for bluetooth

the watch screen is very nice and lightweight however there are 3 things i disliked about it. 1. bluetooth range from phone to watch. while playing golf, i left my phone on golf cart and the watch disconnected several times being about 20 ft away. not good 2. charging cable is very small and not easy to charge. the charging port should have been type c to make it easy to plug in anywhere. 3. the watch bands seem to be part of the watch or very hard to replace once the wear out. these cheap pla...

Watch is not great without the Green Elevation

I had this watch for about a week. It's not a great watch without the Green Elevation Feature (information that helps you line up your putts on the green). I also purchased the Garmin Membership so that I would have the Green Elevation on this watch. However, none of the greens of the courses that I play in Georgia have been uploaded to this watch which has to be completed by Garmin!! It may take them several months before this feature can be added to my watch.

Best golf accessory ever.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago. Played 3 rounds so far. I paired it with the sensors and it tracks my round. I was in between the s70 and the fenix 8. I’m very happy with my decision. The watch is light. Can barely tell I’m wearing it. The battery lasts almost 2 weeks between charging. Would definitely buy again

Loaded with Features but Lots to Manage

I bought this for a trip to play Pebble Beach and found lots of features but still getting use operating it. Found it linked quick and easy and keeping score to include total score plus puts and penalties was easy. Editing a bad input was simmering I haven’t mastered yet. Battery life is very good. Another thing I couldn’t master was displaying the golf hole, only the yardage was visible. I expect I’ll enjoy it more as I use it more.

Good watch/GPS, as long as it works

Purchased for accurate yardages of GPS and the swing tempo for serious practice. Pros: The yardages are good, the graphics are great, the swing tempo functions flawlessly, feature packed with several available read outs. Cons: Have had a situation with the watch blacking out during a round. Shut it down then restarted and surprisingly it returned to the spot last noted. This is an odd, glitchy problem. Golf yes, hiking okay, Apple: NO

Have had the watch over a year and works fine for golf and is even decent for hiking but starting last winter, “Garmin Connect” has been a nightmare. I use an iPhone and didn’t have complaints until last winter (6+ months after buying the Approach S70). At first the Connect app would intermittently lose the ability to sync with the watch but now it’s a once only option where I have to go through a series of disconnecting and re-pairing. Great sports watch

I did research to find the best watch to track my golf game and tracking laps during lap swimming and I assure you this is an excellent watch for these activities. I also am very happy with the Garmin Approach S70 tracking others activities like bike riding. I highly recommend the purchase of this watch!

I had an S62 and S70

I moved up from an S62 to the S70 it is a great improvement, I also have the club sensors , this is where the system needs improvement, it would help if as a player I understood how the distance numbers are correlated, why numbers make no sense. It also would help if I could erase all data for one club, most of the time the longest shot shown are an error. Love this watch!

I absolutely love this watch and have used it every time I play golf, as well as every day use. I feel lost without it. The features are great, the resolution is amazing, and I paired it with the Garmin CT10 club trackers. It has dramatically helped my game!
