What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this tree staking kit. About half find it convenient and adequate for small, newly planted trees, appreciating the all-in-one simplicity. However, many criticize the plastic stakes as brittle and prone to breaking, especially under wind pressure or in hard soil. The included twine is frequently described as cheap and prone to unraveling, making secure fastening difficult. Reviewers note the kit fails for trees over six feet tall or in high-wind environments, with several users forced to replace components with heavier-duty alternatives. Despite these drawbacks, some report success with modifications or temporary support in calm conditions.

Would Not RecommendWeak ineffective product, stakes pull out of ground soo easily. The trunk wraps do not flex around a trunk and vibrations from wind either work off of the trunk or pull the weak (fully sunken into the ground) stake out of the ground.
Not enough rope
Would Not RecommendDoes not come with 21 feet of rope. Had to stake using only 2 stakes. Why advertise for something you don’t provide. For this kit I think you aught to include 30 ft so all three stakes can be used.
Straightened a falling-down tree
Would RecommendNeeded to use additional string (string included was not enough), but with extra string, this did a great job keeping our tree upright!
Aweful
Would Not RecommendThe plastic stakes are very low quality and broke or bent during installation— even with following the instructions precisely. I would recommend purchasing T-posts, wire, and rubber tubing (even an old water hose) to stake your tree correctly than this useless kit.
Good Product
Would RecommendUnlike another tree kit that I reviewed as horrible, this kit was very good. It had pre-cut ropes and was easy to use. The only downside was that one of the steaks had the rope hole piece break off when I moved it. Might have been my fault pulling it out of the ground.
Bad Product
Would Not RecommendThis tree stake package came with frayed/worn rope that was not pre-cut into even lengths as a previous one that I had purchased. Also, same as my spreader, it too a long time to get it and it looked like they found it under a shelf in the corner of the warehouse. Taking it back for a refund. :-(
String would have better black. An extra 10’ would have been great too
Tree stakes
I bought these to use instead of some smaller ones that came with a tree stake kit. They were satisfactory for a small tree with a diameter of 1-2 inches.
Tree stake kit
I knew these stakes were too short for the tree I was staking, so I bought three 15-inch stakes and used the rope and protective tubes from this kit. The rope is not great, but it got the job done at least temporarily. I needed something quickly and this was available.
Only if you have a very small tree...
Would Not RecommendI bought this to stake my 10' tall 2" thick crabapple and it was not up to the task. The lines are not rope but merely some plastic sheet twisted around itself to make a sort-of-rope. The stakes are lightweight plastic and before I was done all three had broken. I think this might be okay for something 1 inch or less, but not much more than that.
Hello, we regret to hear you were not satisfied with the tree stake. This tree stake is best suited for smaller or younger trees.

Not strong enough for Colorado winds
Would Not RecommendThe product broke within a month of staking the tree. Yellow string is incredibly flimsy.
Who gives this garage more than 1 Star?
Would Not RecommendThis is such a ridiculous crappy product. This is more like a bush tie down. What was this made for, bonsai trees? Lowe’s has really gone down hill, it’s evidenced by the quality in products.
Ropes Dissolved
Would Not RecommendMy first problem was that one of the stake snapped while I was pushing it in the soil. Then after about 6 weeks the plastic strings provided snapped and flaked apart. Totally useless if your tree is in the sun.
Tree Stake Kit
Would RecommendThis kit is alright. I'm writing this after installing them. I actually but the small and big kits. I used the big stakes and the rest of everything from the small kit. I had to drive the stakes into the ground pretty far. The ribbon seems to be holding but was a pain to out around the tree and attach to the stack. It seems to come undone and fray very easily. I'm sure these things won't last 12 months, maybe only a couple weeks. Not a bad product but I'm sure there had to be something better. I...
Poor Quality
Would Not RecommendPurchased this kit to keep a young tree upright. One stake snapped and broke during installation. After about two weeks, the rooes began to fray. I will need to look into weather-resistant straps that are more durable. I live in Florida.
tree kit
Works well, does need to have a brick on top as the soil here in FLA. is sandy. High winds will pull the stakes.

Hello, we apologize that you had a negative experience with the tree stake. The rope is not pre-cut so depending on the height of your tree, you may ...
