Nice Range!

I like my new range. It's quick to heat up, and my pizza was done quickly the other night. It's just nice to have a new appliance. The stainless steel drip plates under the burners is,a plus. The old range had enamel ones which over the more than twenty years we had the old range, became pitted, and had some rust through, thus defeating the reason for them to be there. I love my new GE range. It's easy to use, heats quickly and looks good. My only complaints would be that the storage drawer is difficult to open. The recessed area for the fingers to grip needs to be on the outside of the drawer. I do have trouble plugging in one element when I am cleaning the top. Maybe the problem is operator error. I love this range.

It's a stove, nothing special!

Wife didn't want a glass top again after 20 years of having one. The little buttons on the coils for shutting off the coils are different. Found out that some of our lighter aluminum pans don't depress these buttons enough to get the coils to heat up. Still having 2nd thoughts about this safety feature.

Amazing deal for the cost

This oven pre heats really quickly and cooks very evenly. The elements on the top also work really well. The oven is easily cleanable the controls are simple to use. Oven doesn’t have a traditional door switch to turn on the light has to be done from the control panel can be a bit annoying. Hoping this stands up to the General Electric name and will continue to be trouble free.

Happy with this range

So far, so good! Having only recently purchased it, I haven't done much cooking with it, but it is working fine. I'm happy with the quality of the build, and the size of the oven for an economical price. The controls all work as expected. Would definitely recommend it.

The top burners come on right away and work very well, Note; the Whilpool range that we got rid of after only Four and one half years we had to replace the top burners just to be able to boil water, the original burners never got hot enough to b0il water. The oven never met the setting temperature it was alway 20% lower. On my New GE range the oven temp. is right on. My wife and I love our new GE range.
