Don’t waste your money (or your time)

These lights are the worst purchase I’ve ever made. Though they looked beautiful the first few days they were up, bulbs started going out every day after. We had to keep taking down different sets and changing out the bulbs. Customer service was a nightmare and after waiting on hold for an hour and a half, their best advice was to call the manufacturer and that they couldn’t issue a refund unless we returned the lights before Christmas. Soooo we spent $200 on lights and hours putting them up but...

Disappointing Icicle Lights

A combination of the icicle lights being much shorter than others I have purchased in the past, one of the strands I purchased for this past Christmas stopped working within 2 weeks of putting them up on my house. I have had problems with the GE lights going out on the 2nd Christmas but never the first year I put them up. Very disappointing!!

Wish I bought a different brand

This past Christmas I bought the GE stay bright icicle lights and net lights. While I haven't had any issues with the icicle lights yet, the net lights have started to either dim or not work at all in sections. I should have read the reviews because many people warned about this for both the icicle lights and the net lights. I am very nervous to see if any of this still works at all next Christmas or if all the money I spent on these is down the drain. I'm sure GE will comment on this review say...

The icicles are not really icicly....

Decent quality, but the little strands don't uncoil very well and they are packed so tight that it takes a minute to unravel them all.

Horrible

I would give zero stars if I could. I should have returned them when I had the chance. The color is more of a pinkish than warm white. One strand was dim from the start now only one season later and two strands are already burnt out. Water gets in the light bulbs. Tried changing the bulbs and it didn’t work. Tried contacting the company and they didn’t respond. Lowe’s stop selling these. Read the reviews they are all horrible. Wish I could get my $86 back. Waste of money.

Unreliable

Bought three boxes last Christmas. Two strands never worked. Half the lights on one strand worked. Lowes would not accept return after Christmas. So now hoping I can get a warranty refund after mailing them to GE at my expense.

Very pretty

First set we got burnet out after one day, but replacement is doing well

Lousy Product

I bought these expensive lights because they were advertised to not fail. All three strings have failed within 10 days of hanging. Lousy product

What a waste

I am really fed up with these lights. Several times I have taken sets out of the box in half of them don't work. I bought these because they're GE brand LEDs and I thought they were going to be good lights. Boy was I wrong. Some work at first and then stopped working not even 2 Days later. Save your money and buy a different brand

Fuses keep blowing

The item description states you can hook up to 25 strands together, while I only have 6 strands in a row my fuses keep blowing in the ends of the strands. I used Scott’s 33+ electrical tape to wrap and cover the ends so no water enters the female side of the connector. Not happy at all because I’ve had to change a fuse almost everyday since if installed the lights

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY!

Like EVERYONE else has stated, these are the worst lights ever. Same issue for me as everyone else and the most aggravating part is taking the time to REDO the lights after doing it once already. 66% failure rate on these lights. Total waste of money and time, and I can't tell you how angry I am with GE right now.

Lights out within a few days

Bought these last year and every set had decisions out within a few days/weeks. I made the investment to LEDs thinking they would last year after year, so I was disappointed when the didn’t even make it to Christmas. Worse, I bought extra sets and tried to return them to Lowe’s a few days after Christmas, and they wouldn’t take them back (even for a merchandise credit), despite the fact that they were sealed and brand new.

Terrible

I bought these lights hoping for a hassle-free decorating experience. Five days after hanging the lights, multiple strands were out and after further inspection, there was water inside the bulb covers. These lights are expensive junk.

Not the same as few years ago

We had the same ones we bought a few years ago and loved them. We wanted to add more lights this year so bought more and the quality of the new ones are horrible. We had them up one season and half of them are already dimmer than the other half. Not to mention the colors don’t match and they all say warm white. Very disappointed.

Looks Great but Not Reliable

We bought 8 of these. They look great, But, one of the strands failed after a couple of weeks.

Buyer beware

I bought a bunch of these light sets for the outside of my house. After just a few weeks (of only being on a couple hours a day), at least 3 sets have partially burned out sections. I had some unopened sets that I tried to return to Lowe’s, but they are not taking back any Christmas items after Christmas (even new unopened).
