Worked for 2 minutes

First box was doa. Wouldnt turn on even with the remote. Tried everything. Bought 2 more boxes and they worked but then shut off after being on for 2 minutes and wouldnt turn back on. Tried everything checked the fuses and nothing. Returned them right away. For the brief moment I was able to change the settings the lights looked fantastic and was very excited to have them but disappointed now having 3 out of 3 fail.

Unreliable junk

Worst set of lights that I've ever installed because of all of the issues. These lights were either going out of synch or becoming inop all together. Replaced at least 4 sets because inop yet fuses were still good. I'll be returning this crappy product. DONT BUY THESE LIGHTS!!!!!

Color Effects Tree Lights

Reminded me of the lights that were on my Christmas tree growing up. The lights changing color was a game changer. Awesome!

Great if they work

First one was dead out of the box. The second and third worked for a whole 2 minutes then shut off and wouldnt come back on. I came here and saw all the bad reviews that i should have checked prior. I will be returning them.

Bad Idea

For those who bought these this year 2024 good luck next year. I purchased 3 sets in 2020 and they never worked properly after that. I believe the Control Boxes are defective and live long if used outside. Ray in AZ

Garbage Lights

So I went with these Ge lights expecting them to be quality lights boy was I wrong. I’ve had these up for less than three weeks. I’ve already had to take one stand down and replace them and now another set went out. I will be taking them all down and returning all of them and getting my money back. They have been up for a few days not and seem to be operating as advertised. All function well and we are satisfied with them so far.

Not worth the money

They worked one week then just stopped for the mount of money they should be better.

PURCHASED IN MID DECEMBER 2023. THEY WERE UP FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS FOR ABOUT 6 HOURS PER NIGHT. LOOKED GREAT. THIS YEAR 1/2 OF THE STRAND DOES NOT WORK. HAVE TO PAY TO SEND THEM BACK, ON WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ABOUT 1/2 HOUR WITH A GUY THAT COULD BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH AND HAD TO REPEAT EVERY THING TO HIM TWICE. GE SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE THEIR NAME ON THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY.

Very good ,love the lights, have lots of combinations

Only worked for 1 season

Purchased 4 sets worked great. Put them up this year and only 2 of the 4 sets work. Tried everything. Extremely disappointed. For $55/ box these are junk.

Don't last

My husband bought 8 boxes. Put them up and they looked beautiful for about a week. Then one strand quit working. Tried changing the fuse and the bulbs and nothing. A week later another strand went out and they are on the roof of a 2nd story house so not easy to get to. This is why I don't typically put lights on my roof but I would have expected them to last through at least the holiday season. Nope! Too expensive for this to happen. I expect better from GE.

not good

bought 6 strans to replace our old light and there already burned out. the led and new but not working right. when you change yhe colors some get stuck on one color.what junk do not buy

DO NOT BUY

We bought 3 of these strands in 2022. Other than some syncing issues they looked great. However this year (2024) my husband spent two hours hanging these on our house just for them not to work. All fuses have been replaced and still none of the strands will turn on.. Lesson learned.. always check your lights before you spend the time hanging them. So disappointed to only get two seasons out of these lights especially for the price point.

Super pleased with these! So many colors and settings. While my neighbors’ houses have lights that are static, our house has lights that are blinking and chasing. Love it! Looks like a party all the time. They perform as advertised. Great product.

Very mid

These lights are very mediocre. All my strands (6) worked out of the box as expected, so no issues there. They function generally as advertised; but they are not super bright and syncing them up can be difficult (no 'sync' button on the remote like others you might see). The box says to only connect 5 strands so also not as useful for longer runs - I hooked up 6 and occasionally the last strand is out of sync but it seems to correct itself after a while (20 mins).
