End was broken on both bulbs. Don’t know if they were broken when I bought them or if they broke during installation. The little I could get them to work, they looked great. Went back to fluorescent bulbs.

Andrew was so helpful with this project. I was removing the ballast from the light and he showed me how to wire the fixture without the ballast. The light will work in a fixture with or without a ballast. Kudos to Andrew!

Very White, Bright, But Delicious Desk Light

The two GE bulbs I purchased were certainly an excellent buy. These are high-intensity light sources. So bright and white that I had to use the middle 'Sunshine' setting. They both turn on immediately at the touch of the 'push-on' button. Somewhat more expensive than 'regular' bulbs, but with a promised 16-year life span, they are a bargain. You do, however, have to search carefully in the shelves among the mixtures of bulbs at Lowe's to locate them. The text on the box is a bit confusing.

Great fluorescent replacement

I used these as replacements for fluorescent lamps on my fish tank. Awesome! They are a direct replacement so no wiring. The tube has 3 intensity settings and you can actually see a difference between the three. My tank is so much brighter now, the colors on the fish really pop now. I didn’t realize how unbright the fluorescents were. Note, be aware of the starter (if your set up uses starter). I put one in with the FSU starter and the LED tube didn’t light. I think the color change switch is a fatal flaw

I received these promptly and tried them out right away. Installed both in a Dazor Model 1000 and they worked immediately. The lamp was set to 6000k and I wanted to try out the other colors, so I turned off the lamp and switched just one to 5000. I turned the lamp back on and that bulb was not working. I tried switching it to the other colors with the lamp both on and off and the bulb never lighted again. I didn't try the second for fear of it breaking too. I decided to return both because...

Direct replacement for traditional fluoresce bulb

Easy direct drop-in replacement for burned-out fluorescent bulb in existing fixture with no rewiring. Color selection allows the light to somewhat match other fixtures in the vicinity. Appears to have more light output than the old tube.
