DOOR OPENING

CHANGING THE DOOR TO OPEN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE IS VERY DIFFICULT. WISH THE INSTALLER COULD HAVE DONE THAT.

Not as smart but still cool

I purchased this because it says I can control dryer from washer and I can't reach top so I wanted this feature. I have not been able to use this feature as of yet. I also have mot been able to use the app as when I scan the code it says website not available. Sadly now I have to stand on a chair to reach the dryer controls Other than that I love it

Good machine

The machine isn't very quiet and I wish companies would just build machines taller instead of making consumers purchase another product to raise them up for access. Saw a Samsung that was high profile with no riser required. Smart idea

It walks

I replaced my 40 year old washer with this new washer. The washer does a good job of getting clothes clean, I just don't understand why it literally walks its way 5-8 inches forward on some loads. I make sure to keep it on the Low spin cycle, but that doesn't seem to matter. Then I have to wait until someone strong enough to push it back into place comes along.

Poor Quality

We have had this washer for approximately two years and already had it replaced once and now it’s broke again . The first time it developed a leak overnight while we were asleep and flooded our upstairs garage, and office (our laundry room is located on the second floor). Now the washer will not spin leaving a load of clothes sitting in water. What has happened to the quality GE was once known for?

Bad drain pump

We bought this set less than 2 years ago. I have to assume the drain pump failed already. This is pretty sad for a 2 year old appliance. Water won’t drain after a cycle. I will attempt to replace it myself since the warranty doesn’t cover anything. Very frustrating and disappointing GE!

The inevitable odor!

This has been, by far, the worst purchase we’ve ever made. If a zero-star rating were an option, that’s what I would give it. The washer’s design completely failed us as consumers. Any claims made at the time of purchase regarding odor or mildew prevention were simply false advertising. We’ve owned this washer for less than two years, yet it has had persistent and severe odor issues. We followed every recommended maintenance step—weekly deep cleaning of the detergent dispenser, regular draining...

Amazing!

We bought both the washer & dryer set. Both are amazing, quick & efficient! Had for a month so far with no problems. Look great & are perfect for all types of loads.

Run do not walk away

If I could give this negative stars I would. It does not clean at all. GE will not service it and Lowes protection will not kick in until it is 366 days past purchase. The matching dryer is not as bad. Save yourself heartache and get a Samsung or LG. This one is not the one!

Broken in less than 2 years

Less than 2 years old and washer is already broken. One of the boards. Cost to repair was half the cost of machine. Sold at a huge loss and went with speed queen.

BEWARE OF MOLD - THIS WASHER STINKS (LITERALLY!)

Replaced our LG front load washer/dryer set of 10 years with the 5.0 cu.ft. Smart Front Load Washer in White with Steam, UltraFresh Vent System, and Microban Technology about three years ago. Drainage issues have caused issues from day one including mold on the gasket and a smell coming from inside the unit that seems to find a way onto all of our clothes. Crappy manufacturing of this!

We loved this washer until it stopped working after 4 years. It was a circuit board and drainage pump It was going to cost as much to buy the new machine as to repair it This should have been under warranty!

Inverter and mother board malfunction

Do NOT buy unless you want to end up buying a new washer in 2 years! Repairs cost just as much as buying a new washer! And of course nothing is covered under warranty! So now, I am off to buy a new washer and it will not be another GE!

Very good washer

Looks great , easy to use, instalation was very simple, lots of features to wash clothes, plenty of space for clothes washing.

Poor

3 loads in and washer now continues to fill with water. Filled out a warranty form and it’s going to be 7 days til a tech can come look at it. Poor craftsman ship. Will definitely not own another GE appliance

Happy with my purchase

Best washer I’ve had. I love the smart detergent dispenser and the ventilation. Still trying to get the Smart Connect to my phone though. The app and QR codes have not gotten me there yet.
