Heat bulb
Would RecommendI love that they are still available. With today's technology it's getting harder just to find a simple incandescent heat bulb. These work very well for my need here in Alaska.

Good value for $, not the level of heat expected
They work, perfect fit. Unfortunately- they don’t put out the heat like the 20 year Philips lamps we have that are still working.

bad right out of the box
Would Not Recommendbought one to replace a blown bulb in my chicken coop, as soon as I opened the box, the filament was broken. Went to buy another one and all three that I looked at before buying had broken filaments as well. These bulbs used to be tough and last at least a winter season, but most of them blow out within a few days, maybe a week at the most
Thank you for letting us know about this, your feedback is important. I'm sorry these bulbs were faulty. For any future issues/questions, pleas...
Something has changed
Would Not RecommendWe have used these bulbs in the past with success. However, the four that we recently purchased are a different shape and a slightly different color than the one we bought last year. The shape isn’t the problem, the complete lack of heat is. They simply don’t put out heat. Two lamps will heat an overlapped point to about 90°. The same bulb purchased last year will heat an area to over 100° at the same height with just one bulb. The voltage has been measured and isn’t an issue. We are returning a...

GE 250W infrared light incandescent bulb
Would RecommendWe used this real infrared incandescent light bulb to help heal my daughter's traumatized toenail. She uses it three times a week on her toenail that has a crack in it. The warmth and infrared wavelength light is healthful and increases the blood circulation in her toes to accelerate healing as toenails take a long time to heal and rejuvenate. She uses it for 20 minutes at a time with the light being around 12-18" away. We recommend this lightbulb, however, incandescent uses a lot of energy.

Keeps small animals warm.
Would RecommendI have small stray cats that have a mylar lined shelter. I keep this lamp on for about 45 minutes at a time, then off for about 15 minutes, over the course of the day during winter. They love it. Works great with one of those mechanical timers.
