I buy five of these (one's a spare) every winter for the basement stray cat area. Keeps their bedding area warm, comfy, and doesn't bust my budget. I always get the red one's because the light is calmer and doesn't interfere with their sleep. I leave them on as long as it feels cold down there. At some point I'll likely invest in a wall-mounted electric heater but these are just right for a small area - for now.
