This is likely our fault but the packaging should have been more clear: This heat lamp as no dufusion layer on the surface; So, be sure not to actually even glance directly at the light, for you will get a nasty squiggly after image that lasts for a couple of hours...

Burned out quickly
Would Not RecommendBought this to keep my sump pump warm. Installed it into a proper lamp and connected to a temperature sensing plug. The bulb burned out within a few weeks. Now I have a frozen pump. Can't believe it. Definitely not 5,000 hours. More like 10.
250 watt heat lamp
Would RecommendSeems like a better value than the 125 watt version. I think it wii serve me well.
