Would RecommendThe chime is very loud. I purchased it for an office which is fairly large and it still startles people. We've tried to muffle the sound with tape so it's not as loud which is helpful. The chime definitely does it's job.
Why spend hundreds on security?
Would RecommendVery simple to install and gets the job done as a security system. I suppose the only caveat is that should there be a break in - no one is alerted that can come help. However, if you're hoping for a very loud alert alarm, this is the right purchase. MUCH smaller than the pictures look online. I would caution when you're testing it out at arms length that it is VERY loud. The instructions suggest covering it with a towel first which is smart.

Alerts for mom & dad
Would RecommendWe have small children in our home and they were getting up after wed go to bed and roaming around the house and unlocking the doors. They were even going outside after we were in bed. So now everytime they open a door the alarm sounds and we’re aware of it. They have stopped. I love this product and i recommend it to anyone who wants to know when a door or window is being opened.

Would Recommendthe alarm does work and there is a chime setting. my only complaint is that it’s pretty loud. the alarm is supposed to be loud and is a constant noise until shut off but even the chime is loud.

Would RecommendI put them on all windows and doors when I moved in 5 years ago, then realized that I want to be warned of breech sooner, went back recently and bought more for all the screens too . Love them !

If you're looking for a sensor for your windows or doors then here is one that works.. Each can either chime or wake up the neighborhood with its alarm. Great for a business where you need to hear your customers coming in and out. Would absolutely perfect for my home if the volume of the chime could be lowered. These could also be paired with the GE Alarm Kit making it a pretty easy to install, completely wireless and very affordable alarm system.
