Great value and features

This the second GE disposal I have purchased and so far it has performed flawlessly. This is my first 1/2 hp disposal and was probably not necessary, since I have always purchased 1/3 hp and they suited my needs just fine, but it was priced almost the same and I figured maybe it will last a little longer because it is not working as hard. This disposal is much louder than others, but I am getting used to it.

Bad Disposall(s)

We've been our home 3 years and we've replaced this product twice. I'm convinced the one recently replaced is still under warranty of some type. I'm anxious to see how GE handles the repair and/or replacement of this product.

Works well

This disposer works well. It is a little louder than others I have had (Insinkerator) but it does the job.

Just what we needed!

Our previous disposal has been on its last leg since we bought this house (two years) so we finally bit the bullet and got a new one. I wish we would've done so sooner! This model is very affordable and hard working. I also installed it myself (with minimal help from my husband) because the directions were very easy to understand.

Garbage disposal drain plug

Like the disposal, but not the strain plug. It slips in the disposal and is getting chewed up. This is a very needed part.

Great so far!!

Our old disposal was old, loud, and finally started leaking. When I went to replace it I found that I could get this disposal which was more powerful and quieter for a better price. I was a little nervous about changing it out myself but it was very straight forward. The removal of the old one and installation of this one took just over an hour. Good quality disposal

Good quality disposal that we bought as a replacement for the original GE disposal that came with the house. It was an easy one for one swap, and all the fittings fit the same. This is a newer model than the one we had, and runs much quieter. I am so glad that I didn't "upgrade" to a more expensive disposal, and just stuck with what was tried and true.

Size & performance

I bought this a month ago its size is awesome the old one took up a lot of space and its performance is great.

Easy installation, quiet operation

Straightforward installation process with decent instructions. Clearly quieter operation than previous garbage disposal. The GE unit also takes up less space than than the previous one.

Great features

Recently upgraded my kitchen and changed the disposal to this one, great price! Does the job. Small, fits well under the sink, allowing more room for cleaning products.
