It does the job, but not well.

I have two of these but I returned this third one I bought in favor of the semi-permanent mount. This one just doesn't seem to fit my windows or the a/c's well. Scratches my sills and frames and needs many pieces of foam to seal up the gaps/spaces.

Secure and compact. Not perfect, though.

Good bracket to use. Much better than the "universal" one that is not a permanent mount. I have a couple of the universal ones, but they do not work well. They don't fit my older windows or newer windows. This one does, but I still needed some shim/spacers to properly mount. It is very secure, though.

Great Support

I didn't want to drill into new vinyl windows. But I was concerned about having just the window support my 12,000 BTU air conditioner. I found the photos on Lowe's website helpful in figuring out which way the bracket went, as it was mislabeled (must have been returned). Instructions are difficult to follow.

I thought I would like the compact, sturdy-looking appearance of this item, but I never got out of the starting gate. Instructions were difficult to follow, provided poor explanations. Unhelpful pictures that seemed to be out of place with the ordered steps. I read instructions through 3 or 4 times and then began measuring and drilling - to include punching a nail hole through aluminum "wrap" that mostly enveloped my window sash. Didn’t work for me

Won’t work unless window is completely flat, my windows had the metal part of the frame sticking up and the round tubes just didn’t work plus my ac had legs that hit where the round tubes were so it made the gap at the bottom huge and there wasn’t enough room to move the ac legs off the tubes. Would have been ok if the tubes were flat and wider.

don't trust returned items

I bought two, both boxes had been opened. I took them home, instructions missing, looked them up on internet. The universal support bracket had very large screws in them that I didn't want to use, so I returned both. The woman taking the items back knew there were things missing in the boxes, she taped them up and put them back on the floor.

Works great once stabilized

New windows required an air conditioner support; this one seemed the least complex and did not require any drilling. While the fit seemed unmanageable at first, rubber disks made it fit perfectly and the a/c was solid. The flimsy rubber clamps provided to hold a/c on the bars did not even remotely help and swung around uselessly.
