Large gap underneath

The windows in our apt have a substantial lip that when combined with this support opens up a huge gap that you add foam to close, but when it rains leaks inside. I've tried several things and nothing quite works. A solution would be flatten out the area that goes over that lip or add a dip in the pipe to negate it.

This super bracket does make installation easier - read: less nerve-wracking to put the ac in by yourself. However, it's obviously not the same shape of a window sill that an ac is designed to slide into. So there are significant gaps under the unit. I'm a little worried what will happen when it rains. And, depending on the shape of things on the bottom of the unit, it may not be flat...

Deserves a zero star

first off this bracket sits up about 3/4" off the stool leaving a gap between the bottom of the AC and the window stool, now they do give foam but the foam will have to be cut and taped because its not thick enough to stay with just pressure. That's just the minor issue, now you have the side panels of the AC, these slide in a track on top of the AC and on the bottom, so unless your putting a small AC in a 36" window opening, the bottom track of the side panels will end up sitting on top of the ...

Extremely dangerous

This product rests your 70+ pound air conditioner on less than a 2" wide very slick rail running down the middle from front to back. The "block" that is meant to keep the A/C from sliding too far out is not adjustable at all and is held in place by a thin plastic plug as is the front brace, plus a 1/4" piece of aluminum about 2" long. That's it. It raises it up from the window sill so there is no full-width contact at the bottom. The rubber feet slip off easier than they are to put on making the...

Fell Right Out

May work on a very specific style of window where no other bracket is an option. Tried this on a window that slides open horizontally. Showed promise but the AC would not stay on it, defeating the purpose.

poorly made

The review title said it all. Its a good idea, but poorly made. While you can make it work, much better options are available. Like one reviewer said about not getting 36" across the width is true. 35" tops. all the rubber parts fall off constantly, even the plastic pins that hold the thing together fall apart.

Big nope

I got this because it is hot and I didn’t want to spend a lot of time fighting with drilling holes while dripping buckets of sweat. I needed pliers to get the little ball things to go in to adjust the bracket. If your window isn’t perfectly even the AC will slide right off the back. Luckily I had a good grip or I would have lost my $200 unit. Build one yourself and save lots of money and frustration.

When I got home to open the box, there were no bolts, spring, black parts on ends. For the money, its junk.

Don't Waste Your Money

Extremely overpriced. Leaves a huge gap on the bottom that is hard to fill, setting up should be easy but it was a pain to do. Returned the next day because I did not feel like the AC Unit was safe and secure.

Claptrap piece of equipment

All the other one star reviews are accurate. I ordered this for in-store pickup, got it home and 30% of the metal pieces were missing from the box. Exchanged it in store (after opening the box in-store to ensure I had a complete set) and got it home. The instructions and markings indicate it opens to fit a 36" window, but the tabs only expand to 35". I ended up cutting additional slots with an angle grinder to expand it to the full 36" we needed for our window. The rubber pads are junk, the...
