We have used these filters for approximately 15 years. $40 is pretty pricey for lasting only 6 months. Plus it says to run 15 gallons of water through your filter before drinking it, which doesn't make much sense. That sounds like an awful lot. I think when we first bought our refrigerator they lasted a year.
