Bad freezer

After three years and two months the freezer suddenly quit and the repairman said it would cost more to fix it then to buy a new one. Frigidaire company said there was nothing they could do. Do not buy Frigidaire appliances. I wish someone had warned me before I made this purchase

Not a lot of manual-defrost upright options

It's not easy to buy a basic manual-defrost upright freezer, since manufacturers know most people want the bells and whistles. I wanted manual because we store a lot of meat, and I wanted an upright because of the ease of loading and unloading it. Auto-defrost freezers can damage the taste and texture of meat if meat is allowed to go through too many defrost cycles. This freezer easily handles the storage needs for our family of three, and comes back down to temperature quickly after the door...

Fits Our Needs (Literally)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the kids out of the house, when it was time to replace our 18-year old Frigidaire, we downsized to the 14.4 cu ft model. It has plenty of room for the Costco and TJ’s frozen foods that would take up too much space in our kitchen freezer. We don’t mind thawing, as a true deep-freeze keeps food longer.

Very clean design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after a lot of research and it's been working great as it is very efficient and freezes things fast and I was able to squeeze 250 Lbs of meat and fish in it. It's a great freezer and manual defrost so it wont destroy your food after a few months. I would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect size for my family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's only been 22 days since I bought my Frigidaire Freezer 14.4 cu ft. manual defrost. So far I have not had any problem with it. It has spacious shelves and the shelves are very sturdy. It is not plastic that would bend with weight. It also has additional door shelves to store and freeze more foods. It is almost full with frozen vegetable produce from my garden. The first couple days I thought it was loud but now it seems like it has quieted ...

Affordable and Reliable

Door Never Sealed Properly

This freezer, which rarely gets opened, frosted up immediately and after defrosting it NUMEROUS times, kept frosting up badly. I'm not talking about a little frost, but where the door at the bottom had ice developing so that it was not closed. I've had manual defrost freezers (and I got rid of one for environmental reasons, while it still worked after about 20 years), but this one never sealed properly and ice would form quickly. I even got a new seal for it (about $800 IIRC)and had it profes...

Poor quality

He thisfreezer a little over 1 year and the compressor went out, and everything got ruined. Of course It's out of date.

Great Upright Freezer

Freezer is bright, easy to access. The baskets and a breeze to use. I adapted the basket handles to be attachments to the freezer shelf, to mark items.
