I've had this freezer for about 1 month & am pleased with its function. We downsized from a larger freezer that was 40 yrs. old when it died. I hope this one lasts 1/2 that long! I do find the light to be in the way when I add & remove items from the top shelf, since the light is in the middle front. That could be better positioned. Would Not RecommendWe used the freezer outdoors in a ventilated room. It died within 3 years and all the frozen food defrosted and spoiled.

Nice Manual Freezer for Garage
It is a quality product and the design is very good except the suction makes open the door somewhat difficult and it has not subsided in two weeks. Maybe when the freezer is fully loaded it will open more like a refrigerator door with regards to force required. The manual should show the defrost draining better also. Overall a very good product.

Love the manual defrost

There were several chest freezers with manual defrost, don’t want to bend over and dig for items on the bottom or take up so much wall space. Would RecommendOur lab technicians love this product because it keeps all of our samples organized and manual defrost is a must-have feature. Tons of space for items and the vertical shelf layout is very helpful for people to reach items.

Minor issues
Would RecommendFreezer was not in stock and shipment time and delivery was scheduled for one week out. Delivery was made as scheduled. One issue with the unit is that the door seal is so tight that upon opening the door, the freezer is pulled forward on the door handle side a couple of inches. Our hope is that as it gets fuller and heavier or, the seal will eventually loosen slightly, the door might open more easily. A great product. Only gave it 4 stars because the freezer did not come with any storage baskets. Those have to be purchased separately. Since I had already spent ridiculous amount of $$$, I had no $$$ left. So there is no organization of product in my new freezer. Hope it lasts 33 years like my old freezer, which came with a basket. Way to go Frigidare!!
