Would RecommendI'm glad LOWES was nearby, pricing for 3 replacement toilet kits comparable allowed immediate repair. Also, the 7 yr product warranty was a plus, installed by a professional plumber. Availability and Fluidmaster product dependability with plumber also a plus!!

Would Not RecommendAbsolute garbage. I have installed three of these in my toilet in the last six months, and yes they’re installed correctly, but they all want to leak after a few months. The one I just installed has a pin leak somewhere, where after it stops filling up the tank, it has a slight leak that continues to fill the tank up until it leaks out of the flush lever hole.
Make sure you know it will fit.

Good product, but very loud
Would Not RecommendParts all fit nicely in my American standard. Easy replace. However, when running you can hear the water filling from the room next door. Wouldn’t recommend purchasing. Mine previous was operating fine, but last week started to hear the refill. I purchased this replacement thinking it was the same, but nope. I will be searching for a quiet replacement.

Not "Universal"
Would Not RecommendI bought this kit from the other big box. The hole in which the flush valve installs in my toilet is 3 7/8" diameter. The nut that is supposed to hold this non-universal kit flush valve is 3 13/16" diameter - so small that it free floats inside the hole.
The kit you picked up is a 2 inch flush valve kit and would not fit with your 3 inch flush valve hole. We recommend picking up the 3 inch flush valve...
Kohler toilet
Would Not RecommendI have a kohler toilet. First, this isn't a complete kit. The gasket between the tank and toilet doesn't fit (which is mentioned in the booklet, wow marketing). The second thing is the handle. What a waste. They have you remove the old one, then tell you to bend a plastic piece from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. Obviously this didn't work. I was extremely disappointed, since my tank was rusted to the toilet and I had to use bolt cutters to remove the bolts. This destroyed the gasket. Sigh, ...
