Great kit!

This kit works great. Had to special order a Gerber gasket because we have an old but this kit fit well in all other aspects.

Convenient and Reasonable

A so-so product.

The Fluidmaster is fairly good, but with a major issue. The filler part is easy to install and seems to work perfectly. The flapper part is a problem. It leaks. There is nothing I can do to prevent water seepage, so the filler kicks on every half hour or so to replace the lost water. I went back to Lowe's to get a replacement flapper, but nope! The Fluidmaster unit has the flapper attach to the tube by a pair of plastic hook-like appendages but all the replacement (non Fluidmaster) flappers att...

After starting realized I didn't need all of it but I used most of it....works great now! I'm anything BUT mechanical so if it was easy for me it should be easy for you!!

Worked as advertised, overhauled the tank due to limestone buildup. Hardest part was getting the tank level and tight. Lots of quarter turns,

The install was easy enough and my toilet works like it's brand new. I almost bought a new toilet, but decided to give this a shot first - I'm really happy I did!

Might better buy a toilet

My new3 year old house was leaking water in my guest bathroom. So off I go to Lowe’s to get a replacement. Just over $20 , not bad. Installed it and it did its job but you must hold the lever down just to get an adequate flush. Can’t use more than 2 cups of water and no way to adjust it for more column. Had toilets on sale for $99, wished I had bought one.

Fluid master toilet rebuild kit.

Tighten the bolts without cracking the porcelain. Leaks develop months later if you don't. The ladies say use of the lever is difficult. I would assume it may be a leverage issue at the angles associated with the tank design and water levels. Whether use of the lever is difficult is a matter of prospective. Get the assembly of nuts, bolts and washers exactly as described in instructions. Do not substitute old parts for any reason or leaks may result. Adjustment of water level and water us...

Missing Hardware

My toilet tank had three bolts that fastened the tank to the bowl. The kit only had two. The instructions said to re-use one of the existing bolts. I couldn't use one of the existing bolts because they were from a different system. So I had to buy another install kit for $6, plus the extra trip to Lowe's. They supplied two extra rubber washers. Why not just supply the extra bolt, metal washers, and nuts? It would have been worth more stars...

Great for a long term fix!

I changed two toilets (Mansfield) from their original mechanisms to this and the Fluidmaster works great! The only criticism I have is that the tank was held on with three bolts and this kit gives you two, even stating if you need three re-use one from your original three. For the small amount of extra money, I would prefer to have three new ones. Good instructions, but if you need help many videos on YouTube to help.
