What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this toilet repair gasket for effectively stopping running tanks, eliminating whistling sounds, and restoring proper filling—often solving problems that persisted for months or years. Most report successful, quick 15-minute installations requiring no tools or expertise, with many noting it saved 90 percent or more compared to professional repairs or full valve replacement. The part fits popular models including Kohler and American Standard valves. A few users report the fix did not resolve their issue, typically due to underlying valve damage rather than the gasket itself. Overall, reviewers consider this a reliable, affordable solution.

Would RecommendTurn off the supply valve, twist off the top of the valve. Hold your hand over the topless valve and briefly turn the water back on to flush the grit that caused the leak. Pop this part in place of the original and reassemble. In a minute or two your fluidmaster is restored to new for pennies.

Easy fix
Would RecommendUpon flushing, my toilet was squealing and filling slowly. I tried the cheap fix (replaced the flush valve seal in the top of the old unit) but of course that didn't fix the issue. I therefore had to replace the entire flushing assembly. Luckily, Fluidmaster makes the process easy and it fixed my problem.

Would RecommendWorked on the off-brand toilets I bought from Lowes around 2009/2010. The valve stem is made of plastic, rather than stainless steel. Prior to replacing the seal, one toilet was filling very quickly, and there was water hammer when the fill valve shut off. The other toilet was hissing and filling very slowly, then would eventually start filling quickly if the bathroom faucet cold water valve were opened and closed. Again, water hammer after the tank filled and the fill valve closed. Now b...
