Proven design

Found this better than the other brand that uses a "new" valve mechanism. Uses the tried and trusted float mechanism. The valve on the other one used an enclosed mechanism that dripped/leaked and was not resolvable.

Outstanding complete solution; highly recommend

The color direction booklet , alone, is worth the price. Nearly 20 years since I last totally replaced a flushing system. Using this kit was 20 times faster and easier. Seriously, it is everything that you need. The packaging is even designed to catch draining water, so you don't even need a bucket. Highly recommend this kit.

It was a good experience except the chain isn't long enough. I liked that everything is contained in the package and the tools can be used multiple times, which is makes the cost very effective.

Good product

Good price, decent instructions, comes with all supplies needed to replace insides of the tank. Wasn’t real clear which parts to use for the bottom seal but I guessed correctly. The green tool didn’t work to remove any of the old bolts as instructed - was a two person job and we had to use a wrench. Otherwise, we managed to replace the tank insides in about two hours.

Mission Accomplished

Bought the kit at 2:26 pm. Now it's 3:50 and I'm done. Hardest part was getting the rusted tank bolts off (20-year-old American Standard toilet). All the parts fit like they are supposed to and are working fine. No leaks or other issues described in some reviews. Watched the video and then did the install using the instruction booklet. Highly recommend. It's Miller time.

It takes a bit of time, but you can do it.

New overflow tube design might be a problem

O-ring seal in the overflow tube was out of place and the tank would fill, then drain, then fill again.... repeat non-stop. Fluidmaster warranty is top notch and they sent me new parts. I had to take the tank off the toilet again but, it works fine once replaced.

Included Flapper leaks

Install was easy enough. The included tools helped a little bit but more often were not the right size. Biggest issue was the brand new flapper leaked and caused the toilet to constantly run. I ended up replacing it with a Korby one and have had 0 issues since. Next time I’ll probably just look for a whole Korby kit instead of Flowmaster.
