What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these pruners for razor-sharp blades that effortlessly cut branches up to 3/4 inch thick with clean, non-crushing cuts. The rotating handle mechanism is celebrated as a game-changer for reducing hand fatigue and improving comfort during extended use, particularly for those with arthritis. Most highlight the solid construction, reliable locking mechanism, and warranty as reassurance of long-term value. A few report blade dulling with thorny plants or note the rotating handle feels unnatural for left-handed users. Overall, reviewers consider these pruners a high-performance, durable tool worth the investment.

It seems very robust and I'm able to easily cut through the woody Kudzu I have, compared to the previous product (cheaper and not same brand) that broke within a few weeks.

Only gives greater leverage for smaller diameters
Would Not RecommendNo less force than their excellent large secuteurs

Cuts well enough
Would RecommendThe pruners work well but, the rotating handle will take some getting used to. The outside (finger side) grip rotates as you squeeze the two handles together. This made the pruners less instinctive to use. I do believe there may be some value in the rotation but, I'll also have to get used to it. Other than that, the pruners worked well, comfortable handle design and sharp blades.

Would Not RecommendPoor quality blade damaged after ten minutes trimming roses. No heavy branches. I am returning it.

unbelievable
Would RecommendAfter having a very long handled clipper I was hesitant to buy this one. Love it!! Trimmed my crepe myrtles no problem. The handle is different but fits my small hand perfectly. After 20 minutes of trimming my hand did not hurt. Worth buying.
Nice, but a different feel with the operation
Would RecommendI thought these were unique in design compared to the pruners I've used in the past. Half the handle rotates. It's a neat design and I could see a benefit from it, but for me, I couldn't get used to it. The "gears" it uses to rotate handle and close the blade is quite thick and seems very sturdy. The grips of the handle are comfortable without wearing gloves but keep the grip while wearing a pair.

Clipped well
It was a little hard to get used to the rotating part of the handle when you clip but they clipped well

Sharp but large
Would Not RecommendThe pruners are sharp and make a very nice cut. The rolling handle seems to make it easier to cut, if you are right handed... If you are left handed (as I am) the handle rolls into your hand making for a very unnatural motion. When open the handle is wide (see photo) so may want to try these out in the store if you don't have large hands. If you are right handed and have slightly above average hand size then these are the pruners for you. If not you may want to try some other pruners fr...

Clever Design Allows Easy Use
Would RecommendThese shears are so smart!! The rolling handle allows the handle to roll naturally the way your hand does. This prevents the handle from rubbing and causing blisters. These shears are really sharp and easily cut through 3/4 inch branches. I like that there is an easy to use lock that lets me slide these into my pocket without having to worry about the blade opening up. I have medium sized hands (glove size) for a guy and found these shears to be really comfortable and easy to use. Finally, Fiska...

Excellent Pruner for Even Tough Branches
Would RecommendThis is an excellent pruner. It is sharp, capable of cutting up to 3/4" branches, and has excellent ergonomic features. Sliding Lock/Unlock switch is at the top of the handle for easy access. The grips are very comfortable and a great feature is that the lower handle (black handle) rotates as you squeeze the pruner for a very comfortable actuation. Like all Fiskars products, this pruner is very well made and should provide years of use.

Nice “Rolling Handle” feature
Would RecommendThe rolling handle allows this pruner to be used with less effort and strain. I often use pruners to trim downed limbs and branches to the proper size for my “burn” pile. There is indeed a mechanical advantage to be gained while using this pruner as opposed to the standard straight cut pruner.

Not Lefty Friendly
Would RecommendRight off the bat I want to say that these cut VERY well. Pretty much what you expect from Fiskars. The blade edges are high quality: super sharp, not warped or dinged, and aligned straight. I was able to trim off some rogue branches on my little apricot tree but I had to do it in a few passes, as I think I lacked the appropriate grip strength to get it in one go. The branch was just under 3/4". Once I got through it, I saw the perfect edge, confirming the great quality blade theory. I am defini...

Interesting Concept, Doesn't Quite Deliver
Would Not RecommendI didn't realize that the handle actually pivots/rotates on these pruners. See the photos where you can see the blue tape rotate inward as the pruners are closed. First, if you are left-handed you should look elsewhere. The rotation goes the wrong way for lefties. Second, the gear that does the rotating tends to grab onto leaves and shrubs so you have to clear it out while you use them. Last, due to the rotation mechanism, these pruners don't have as wide of a cutting area as similar pruners (3/...

Different Kind of Pruner
Would RecommendThis pruner is very interesting in that the finger side of the handle rotates. As you close your hand it uses the gearing to rotate inward. You can see from the photo of it open that the handle is rotated outward. As you close your hand it uses the gear, as seen in the next photo, to rotate the handle and pull the pruner closed. It felt a little weird at first, but as you use it you don't even notice it. It worked on dried spruce branches. I then used it to trim a branch off of a peach tree. One...

Excellent power pruners
Would RecommendThese pruners are true to the name PowerGear 2. They worked out well for my wife and her smaller hands. The bottom handle rotates so it makes it easier to grip and get the power you need for larger branches. The lock is well placed and easy to use. They are sharp and durable. I don't see how you could go wrong with these

Great features!!
Would RecommendThis pruner has a solid durable feel and with the sharp blade makes clean cuts. The pruner felt a little awkward at first, but when working with it I find the rotating handle design was ergonomically comfortable and the ease of cutting was more effective and effortless. This will be my go-to tool for all my medium sized repetitive cutting.

Quality tool!
Would RecommendThe Fiskars hand pruner made short work of trimming my low hanging branches in my front yard.My Maple trees always sprout new growth in the spring so I have to trim them to make passing under the tree with my lawn tractor easier!
