Would Not RecommendThe handles do not stand up well to a lot of pressure when shearing large branches. Next time I’m going with one’s that have a full metal handle with metal attaching points to the blade hinge area.

Would Not RecommendI was hoping the engineeing design for these cutters would work really well. My hopes were immediately dashed when I tried to cut my first branch. Not only are they overly tight and hard to close, the adjustment bar that should allow you to cut through thick branches simply does not have any more leverage than normal clippers. AFter using it only a few times, the cutter head started to twist. If you buy this item, just throw it in the trash to save you some time.

This a great lopper that works as advertised. There is a learning curve for the ratchet mechanism. Once I mastered the technique, I was able to cut 2" limbs with ease. I highly recommend this lopper.
