Branch bites lopper

As with a number of the other reviews, I lost a chunk of blade cutting a 1" green mesquite branch. Up until then we loved them--very easy to close, sharp and clean cutting; light weight. Yes, you have to "open wide" thanks to the gearing, but were very easy to use, and I liked the metal handles/gear set up better than the springy-bendy Fiberglas handles on the Corona lopper I have. I took the risk and swapped for a new set, thanks to lifetime Warranty and friendly folks at Lowes. But really--som...

Amazing!!!

Where has this product been all my life?! I used it to cut down branches from my backyard, my neighbor was so impressed she asked to borrow it. Its so easy to use and am telling you it works with very little effort.

Excellent Product

Have owned & used many types & sizes of loopers and these are, by far, the best I've ever used.

Very sharp

I really like the shears there just too heavy for me to hold too cut up high.

I had bought a similar product from Sears that did not work well at all. These Fisker loppers do the trick with no problems, easily cuts 2" thick branches with little effort. Comfortable grips make for easy use all day long.

Works great

I had an old set of loppers and considered getting them sharpened, but I saw these with the rachet and decided to give them a try. They are great! I am small of stature with not much upper body strength, but these did the trick. They cut branches over an inch thick with no problem....great purchase

Not like the one it replaced

I have been unable to find a suitable replacement for my old lopper. This one is the best I have found after visiting several different stores. Unfortunately, it requires a greater range of motion than did my old lopper. I find this very inconvenient.

Quality Product

If you're looing for a well designed and quality pair of loppers, this is the product for you. The handles feels comfortable in your hands and the geared teeth make it easy to use and require less of a struggle when cutting tree branches. I would definitely recommend this product.

GREAT BUY!

I have used these loppers on 2" diameter branches with ease. Compared to other brands, they are a real bargain.

Cuts like hot knife through warm buttah

First off, it's made in china. If it was made in the US I wouldn't have a problem with the "Value" for its price. But to me, I made the choice because of my previous Fiskars products and how well they do the job. This pruner made easy work of 2" thick evergreen. I have a bad shoulder and wrist, it took no effort to close the handles and lop off a thick branch just like its smaller bypass shears does up to 3/4" thick branches. I love this thing and foresee many years of use out of it.

Blade has 3/4 inches chip after just 3 days of use

I love mine initially. I like the design. It was well build and it cut branches easily with very little effort. The blade now has almost 1 inches chip just after 3 days of use.

Easy to use and highly recommended

I just purchased the Fiskar Bypass lopper with gear technology and tried them out today for the first time. I cut everything from tiny twigs to 2" thick cedar limbs (6" diameter) with complete easy & let effort. I have never used loppers that were this easy to cut with, usually have to use a lot of strength to cut, especially near the center of cut. They are quite sharp also. Cuts like butter

I used this for the first time last weekend and it cut through everything so easily. I even tried branches that were probably a little bigger than 2 inches and it cut through them although with some effort. It's relatively light and well built. Definitely would recommend to others

Quality Lopper

These are sturdy and easy to use. The "gears" really help ease cutting. These are capable of taking down fairly good sized saplings and limbs.

Works well

I had 5 Bougainvilleas I needed to take out. I was not looking forward to this job at all. My pecan tree was pouring it's harvest out and so many pecans were winding up in and around the branches of this thorny nemesis. So I decided to take them out.
