Would RecommendWe had a mix of First Alert and Kidde, and the Smoke/CO models had come to the end of the 10 year life, plus we wanted to try the 10 built-in battery models. So we bought all first Alert and install couldn't have been easier. Most just attached to the old wiring and mount, where First Alert was previously used. Would RecommendThe included battery was so low that it triggered the low battery alarm within the first 30 minutes. It did fit the old mounting bracket and wiring perfectly. A bad battery is a small price to pay for a perfect fit.

Great replacement smoke alarms
Would RecommendMy hardwired smoke detectors were chirping and would not be satisifed with new batteries. Upon further research, we learned that they had an expiration date and one had exceded that. So we repalced them all with these, and they dont need batteries for 10 years!
