Good unit bad battery
The included battery was so low that it triggered the low battery alarm within the first 30 minutes. It did fit the old mounting bracket and wiring perfectly. A bad battery is a small price to pay for a perfect fit.

Great replacement smoke alarms
My hardwired smoke detectors were chirping and would not be satisifed with new batteries. Upon further research, we learned that they had an expiration date and one had exceded that. So we repalced them all with these, and they dont need batteries for 10 years!
