Would RecommendI bought this First Alert detector to replace old Firex detectors that should have been replaced years ago. The 10 year battery was an a plus for me. We have high ceilings, so I don't like replacing batteries. A few adapter harnesses came with the First Alert. There was one included that connected to my old Firex harnesses so there was no need to rewire them.
