Would RecommendRips through 1/4" carbon steel like its butter! Best jigsaw I've ever used! The variable speed and soft start settings are a nice touch. Also, the ability to turn off the dang light is a great feature for when you're working on a piece that you don't want be washed out by the light. I used to tape over the light on the Milwaukee jigsaw, which sucks in comparison by the way!
