I had the earlier version of this saw and got this one because of the better engineered clamp. This saw is awesome. However my only complaint is the chip collector. My older version used a wing style bolt to remove the tray, this one requires an allen wrench. Although the wrench does come with it, it feels like a step backwards in the production of this feature.

I’m impressed how well and fast the saw will cut 4” pipe 1/4” wall thickness. It is amazing.

Well built reliable saw
Motor and saw work awesome, this is the 3rd saw I've bought because of this. The only issue I've had is the guard linkage going bad and brackets and bolts breaking or stripping out over a few years of use. I've band aided the guards as long as I could til I was forced to just buy another saw. The rest of the saw is well built, I just wish the linkage for the guard had more life in them.

Would RecommendThe vise is awesome it cuts amazing especially with the 15” blade on it definitely a must have it will save you tons of time over using a grinder and a cut off wheel or an abrasive blade

I have a small home fab shop working in wood and metal. The Evaluation Chop saw was perfect for my needs. Used for sq and rectangular tubing Clean accurate cuts. Great addition to my shop.

It's not as good as I had hoped. When using the attachment to hold round tubing or to hold square tubing the cut is not exactly square and this is disappointing. When the fence is set to cut mitres the clamping portion has a tendency to ride up and this can also throw the cut off. The machine is solidly made but the design has a few flaws as noted.

Purchased this saw to make some ATV parts and I must say this thing is a beast. Plenty of power for what I was doing and very good design.
