Not as bad as the reviews I read

The product has a long-lasting fire. I added pinion wood to the fireplace to keep the fire going. It's an excellent fire starter. You don't get that much heat from it so don't expect it to heat up a large room. There is a smell that is kinda weird but after a while you don't even notice it. I think it's worth the buy, better for the environment, and an all around good product.

Great fire log

Bought a box just to try. So glad I did. Lights easily, burns for an acceptable time, and puts off plenty of heat.

Weird smell and only lasts 2 hrs.

I don't know if my product was a fluke, but each log only lasted 2-2.15 hrs (if that), not the "3 hrs." as listed. Plus they gave off a smell of burning laundry and didn't burn completely through, leaving a charred "brick" in its wake. I was very dissatisfied. I've used Duraflame and other similar products with no issues. This was a first for me.

Great Heat, Long Burn.

Burns as its read in its description, heat is great too. Leaves a larger mess than traditional fire wood, but that didn't bother me.

3 hours my patootie

Our family loves to sit outside by the fire during the cold winter months. We unfortunately couldn't do that very long. The box says 3 hour burn, however, this was not the case. I think each log lasted about 20 mins.

OK LOGS

These burn really well, but they leave a lot more ashes than the other brands that I have tried. Overall pretty good.

Clean option

I always enjoy a fire this time of year, this is a great option for a cleaner burn.

Sooty and just ok

Didn’t burn very hot until it fell apart at the end. Produces lots of soot and ash.

Would like it to burn a little warmer/bigger, but overall it is a great starter log to use with real wood.

Burns nicely but leaves a lot of ash residue

Logs burn nicely and like that they are environmentally friendly, however they leave behind a lot of mess / the log turns into a larger than normal pile of ash - considerably more than a regular log or fire starter log. Would not be my preference due to needing additional cleanup.
