Would RecommendIt works the way I think an automatic light is supposed to work. 1) In the daylight or bright light it stays off. 2) When the room is turning to dark shadows motion tiggers the light to come on. 3) When the has been triggered on it will time out and go back to off. 4) It is easy to mount to pretty much any surface. 5) It can even be used like a refrigerator magnet. Would RecommendThese lights are great and super simple. They require 3 AAA batteries and I installed using the adhesive. What's nice is the lights can be removed or turned since the backing is a magnet. I added them to my basement steps and I bought 3 for a 14 step staircase. Not sure how long the batteries will last, I've only had them for about a month now, but no issues so far.
