New way of countertop cooking.
We love this. Never used induction before, but now my wife loves it. Holds temps consistent whether deep frying or sautéing. Cook surface doesn't get hot only pan heats (pan must be magnetic for cooktop to work). Have to get used to temp settings. Range from 200 watts to 1800 watts. There's a chart converting watts into degrees for easy reference. Supper easy to install. If fact, it has short legs for countertop use. It is portable and can be used anywhere there is 110 power outlet.

The Empava cost was less than the replacement part for the previous cooktop so that was a no brainer. From order to delivery to my local Lowes was 6 days. Hot spots in heating elements
Bought for kitchen in my new construction home. Plugged in and tried it out, prior to installation. It worked well, but had some hot spots. Decided to return and look for one with higher volts.

I got this for a sailboat and it's worked out perfectly. Two burners is plenty and I was able to put this on a gimbal by placing a small electric oven below it to act as a weight.Never having used an induction cooktop before, this has been a pleasure to use.
