Would RecommendThis model has the exact same socket switch that's in the porcelain model so operational life should be the same. I found the plastic to be substantial and easy to work with. The only difficulty was opening the optional mounting screw locations. The directions said to "break" them open but I had to use a drill and Dremel tool to grind out the openings.

Seems to be good so far
So far so good. This one seems to work better and feel more solid that the porcelain one it replaced. Not been happy with the quality of the porcelain ones. When I replaced a 40 year old one that was original to the house the replacement seldom lasted more than two years usually a year or less. Hopefully I will get longer life out of this plastic one
