What Customers Are Saying

This ceiling light socket appears to have mixed reviews. Many customers found it easy to install and suitable for basic lighting needs, appreciating its affordability and functionality. However, a significant number reported quality issues, with the plastic housing cracking or breaking easily. Some also noted it is not a true 3-way socket as advertised. Overall, it seems to be a decent budget-friendly option for simple lighting, but the quality and durability may not meet all customers' expectations.

Plastic Crap

Would Not Recommend

These plastic sockets are terrible. The stupid thing broke during installation. For the same price Menards has a porcelain one that is well made for the same price.

Brittle pastic garbage

Would Not Recommend

Wire screws will not tighten enough to hold without the heads stripping. Then when trying to actually attach to the electrical box, the plastic housing cracks before the screws tigntened down.

NOT A THREE-WAY SOCKET. The nomenclature is false!

Would Not Recommend

This is NOT a three-way light fixture. In fact, Cooper Industries (Eaton) doesn't make a 3-Way lamp socket in porcelain or plastic either one. For that matter, no one does. I can only assume that the individual who wrote the description for this item, as well as the apartment owner that wrote the raving review of the "Only Hard-Wired Ceiling Socket that's available in a 3-Way!" that they are referring to the use of three-way switches to turn on this very plain-jane lighting receptacle from two ...

NOT GOOD

Would Not Recommend

I believe that anyone assigned the task of redesigning a consumer item has a responsibility of either actually improve a product or else walking away. Too bad the designer of this product didn't walk away (or run!). I needed something really simple with 2.75 inch center holes for mounting in a garage ceiling. I finally got it installed and it wouldn't light a bulb known to be good. In short it was a broken from the start. My one time experience has no statistical merit -- but I'm failing this th...
