Eaton Bath Fan Humidity Sensor Switch

This Eaton Plastic Bath Fan Humidity Sensor switch was simple to install. The instructions are clear and printed large enough to read without magnification. The leads are clearly labeled on the back of the device, except for the green ground lead. The only issue I had was getting the cover plate screwed on! It fit without screws, but just hung up on the bottom edge when attaching with the screws! Enlarging the cover plate mounting holes from 11/64” to 13/64” permitted the plate to move sufficien...

Automatic Humidity Control

Bath fan controller with humidity sensor will be a part of my bath reno. Haven't completed installation yet but will update review when complete. The humidity control has 3 settings Hi, Med, Low and will automatically turn on when humidity reaches whatever set point is reached. It will then shut off automatically. Also has a manual on button. The unit s designed to fit in a standard light switch box but I will be using a deep box for mounting.

Works great, easy install

Not much you can say about a switch. It works, its functional and allows us to control the electricty with its sensing function. Easy to install. 3 normal wires, red black ground.

Is humidity control?

Great for those high traffic bathrooms fan turn automatically on based on preset humidity levels. No more walking into the bathroom after your teenager has taken a shower and having it feel like a sauna.

Good Idea, Bad Implementation

The basic part of this review is the fact that hot steamy (humid) air starts at the ceiling (8 feet or higher) and has to work its way down to this sensor which is mounted as a switch at about 3 1/2 feet. Depending on the size of your bathroom that can take a lot of steam. This switch/sensor mounts relatively easy and looks nice. Seems to be ok

Kind of hard to program it. Husband program it to what he thought it should be (the red light) but it would never go off. Still had to turn on the fan with the switch. I finally decided I would try to program it. Yeah, finally got it to work, I program it to low setting ( white light), it finally came on by it's self after a shower. Great automatic fan control should be in all homes

This is a great little unit that should be in all new home bathrooms for fan control to keep the humidity down. It a new automatic programmable controll switch that detects the humidity and starts and stops the fan according to your setting. It also allows manual control (on/off). It is DIY friendly, with great instructions and clear labeling. Installs easily with a few tools, but if you are not comfortable with electrical circuits just hire a pro to install it. Works great

Light switch comes with wiring diagram. Very easy to wire also comes with wire nuts Switch can be turned off and on with just a touch works Excellent. When the humidity Is high the fan turns on.When The humidity drops it automatically turns off. Works great really like this product

Humidity detector runs automatically

This humidistat has a couple settings on it. You can turn the fan on as normal with the switch. You can set this humidistat on auto and walk away. Pretty handy for your bathroom fan to not run all the time.

Installed in master bath. Seems I should have mounted higher on the wall to work better. Install was not a problem, wiring schematic was straight forward and fairly standard.

Great for automatic humidity control.

Our new Eaton 120V ¼ HP bath fan humidity sensor (and fan control) works great. I only wish we had installed it sooner in our guest bath. Company frequently forgets to turn on the bath fan but now it comes on automatically when a preset humidity level is reached (I use the highest sensitivity) then turns itself off when the humidity level drops. Great utility for humidity control!

We had been frustrated with leaving the bathroom fan on all day long just to make sure that the humidity had been cleared out of our small bathroom. But sometimes we’re not home all day so that would leave the fan on literally all day. This sensor is awesome and just the right fix. It’s got a time delay and also can automatically turn on or off if the humidity level is too much highly recommend if you’re a working family like us and don’t want your fan running all day long.

Bath fan humidity sensor takes the guess work out

A great solution for those teens that take steaming hot showers for 10min at a time. The built in humidity sensor detects preset humidity levels and automatically turns on the bath fan. There is a manual on/off detent switch to use the fan on command as well. Easy to connect, just an inline switch. Cover with a GFCI style cover plate. Would recommend.

Bathroom fan humidity sensor switch

The bath fan sensor correlated to humidity is an extremely interesting device. You can set upper and lower levels of humidity which it senses and then turns on the bathroom fan accordingly. It is very easy to swap out a regular switch ....even for a do it yourself. Great convenience and value.

Seems to be very well made

We have not started updating our bathroom yet. We are in the planning stages. We will be adding this humidity control to our project as we go. It will make a wonderful addition to our new bathroom. It is very easy to wire and looks really nice. Great addition.

Nice but mind the preset humidity range

It’s nice, but there are a couple things I’d like to be different. Mainly, I wish the humidity range was adjuastable. I live in an older cabin in a humid area. My humidity is routinely at the “turn on” humidity level (45% to 80%). It would be nice if this was adjustable.

Great Switch, works well.

Great switch, easy to operate. It was a little confusing to install but not bad. It works well. The switch isn't too deep so you won't have an issue pushing all of your wires into the back of the junction box which made things easier.

Great sensor, instructions could be more clear

The sensor seems to work great. The only reason I have it one less star is to program it for different humidity levels was a bit confusing. There are included instructions on how to do it, but they could be made more clear. Install was easy for anyone with a basic electric knowledge. It looks great after installing. I put this in my kids bathroom as they always left the fan running after showers. This was the fan will kick off or on without them having to remember to do so.

Work Well and Has Solid Look

Installed in my kids bathroom because they seemed to never remember to turn on the fan. Seems to kick on when there is enough humidity in the room during a shower. Does have the manual ability as well for other fan needs in the room. Overall very happy with the function and form of the unit.
