Took me forever to find it in the store as it was not located with all of the other lighting fixtures but it works very well, no problems.

The wife wanted a pull switch....

Perfect fit

Installed socket in 10 minutes. Perfect fit and excellent hardware. A simple item but well made.

Helps brighten up a room

Easy to install, wire placement labeled, and can hold a dim or bright bulb.

Cheap for a reason

Installed easy enough, it's a simple fixture. The ferrule is super cheap. Pulled once to trun the light off, again for on and the string came loose. Assumed the ferrule wasn't tight so reassembled and pinched with pliers tested again and on second pull it came loose again. The ferrule is very soft. Need to replace. Hope rest of fixture holds up better.

Knockout

Would have liked directions of how to knock out for 3.25” mount. I’m a ceramic teacher and had vision of broken porcelain. Didn’t notice knockouts until wiring was on.

Poor quality

Had it less than a year and the chain just broke off. It was a pain to install and not happy that I need to replace it again so soon! And the fact that there are really no other options is also frustrating! The previous fixture had lasted about eight years and the one before that had lasted probably over 20. The ability to make a quality product exists, why is junk the only choice?

Didn't last a month with infrequent use

Pull chain stopped working 2 weeks after installation. Sure, it's a cheap unit, but how much is your time worth to install a low quality item, then go back to the store to return it, buy another and reinstall? Save yourself the hassle and go with a better quality-controlled product, or buy a hard-wired ceiling socket without the pull cord and simply wire in a reliable light switch.

Beats plastic!

An associate helped me find the correct item for my application. The ceiling socket is sturdy and wired easily. Will return to Lowe's to find a new "shade". It serves the purpose in the utility room but a naked bulb leaves me cautious. I only shop Lowe's to get the best service from all associates and reasonable prices.

Worked well

It has a smaller base then the models from the 1970's so you may need to fill in your cut out hole, also make sure that the pull chain and string are secure or when you first use it = it will come a lose, & you will have to take it down & reattach or work over your head for about 15 minutes to get it back together. other wise product works well. I have lone be using it about three weeks now.

Oldie but a goodie

This one has been around for a long time people. It will work and usually keeps working. I just bought an old 1969 house and these bad boys are everywhere. I had one chain break and replaced it with this. Worked out great.

Just what I needed to replace the one that was bad

I was having trouble finding the light fixture and a worker thier knew right where it was. This makes finding stuff a lot easyer.

Terrible!

Before it ever had the chain pulled the base broke as I was hanging it. It is poorly designed and was not a good purchase at all.
