Programmable switch makes life easier

Easy to program and works great. Install was a little tricky but not impossible.

Way too complicated, sent it back

So this is a great idea in theory, but I think you need to be a rocket scientist to program it. I guess it uses a rough idea of where you live (northern, central, or southern USA) and the sunrise and sunset times you provide to figure out when sunrise and sunset are for every day of the year and then you can set it to turn lights on or off based on that. Or you can just program it for times (I think) or it can be a countdown timer (turn lights off after XX hours), or it can be in random mode or ...

You need to have a neutral wire in the switch box

I liked the look of the product. It was very much like the switch that I had which was reliable for 30 years and worked well with incandescent bulbs but not with LEDs-because of the minimum load requirement of the switch causing lights to flicker. New switch was easy to program after I powered it up on my work bench. Not sure how long the rechargeable battery will last but the price point was attractive compared to the Intermatic switch was almost double the price

robust lighting timer

Great timer switch for any circuit up to 15A on 120VAC but specifically designed for lighting circuits and more dependable/robust than bluetooth or wireless lighting controls. Be aware that it can control exterior lights but is rated for indoor installation only. I attached a pic of the button diagram that was included in the package. It will fit inside a standard GFCI cover plate.

Cool timing device!

Love all the features and operating modes this switch has as well as the back up battery to keep settings during a power outage. Clear easy to follow directions and I'm excited for this addition to the house.

Timer

I'm not savvy with electric things. Had my neighbor install this and he said it was easy to install and loves the timer functions. He said it makes it nice to set and leave for the weekend knowing that it will look like he is home when he is not.

Today i istalled a Eaton Astronomic Programmable Timer. The installation was very simple, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Programming the switch was a breeze

Digital switch that is set and forget.

Does everything it says. Clock, daylight savings, dawn/dusk... Installs like any other switch. It has no beeping. Just simple no frill interface. There is no provision for replacing the backup battery, but it is held together with tamper proof screws.

Nifty idea

A very nifty item to have if you have the need to put something on a timer without the issue of a timer that plugs in and sticks out. Of course whatever you plug into this will be effected by the timer if you have it set. Make sure you have access to the controls in case you have to change the settings. Easy enough to wire, making sure you have a ground wire in your outlet box. With some older houses this could be an issue. And of course....TURN OFF THE POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE THE OUTL...

Chicken Coop Upgrade loading...

I selected this item because I needed a solution for lighting in my chicken coop and run area. I needed a timer setup that would also allow easy manual operation and this astronomic timer fit the bill perfectly. Programmable Timer

GREAT product, installed in 3 minutes. I had struggled with three different makes and models of timed switches before I found this one. The other ones required a PhD in wiring and another PhD in understanding strangely worded installation instructions. This one is a charm!! It is hard to find a timed light switch that is not wired for every possibility and so works for none. My switch outlet had 2 white and a black.

Seems like its going to be a great addition for my lighting. Very well made and it's a little harder to install. However it's worth the little extra work.

15 amp programmable switch

This programmable switch is a must for rooms that don't have a lot of traffic and can be programmed to turn lights on while on vacation or away to make it look like someone is home, very well made with quality materials and price is comparable to other brands, would highly recommend it

Confusing fan timer

Honestly I find this type of timer kind of confusing. I'm not sure as far as a fan timer goes why you'd want it to come on at intervals during the day or at night if the bathroom's not being used during that time. I set mine up as a simple countdown timer which was also a little bit complicated to do I must say. Overall the aesthetics of it is nice though I think it adds an updated look

This Eaton ceiling fan control lets you program your fan to a schedule or if the humidity in the room exceeds a certain level. This installs like a normal switch, pretty straightforward if you are familiar with installing a light switch. It can also be used as a three way switch. Easy to use

Very easy to use. I have been using timers to control outdoor lights as well as tv's radios etc. for years. This is hands down the easiest i have used.
