Angle it!
Would RecommendI love being able to angle the end of it and not have to bend down to cut horizontally or get on a ladder (not supposed to anyway) to trim the top of a tall bush. It says it can cut through 1" stems or less, but I think that's pushing it.

Would RecommendPleasantly surprised at the performance of this thing. As a life-long user of Echo gas equipment, I was skeptical. But battery seemed to make more sense for infrequent use. No problem at all with cutting. Batteries (4.0 Ah) last pretty long with this trimmer, just not with the blower. Time will tell what my true opinion is... if I have to throw the batts out after just 3 yrs, then no good. But if they last well over 5, I'll be impressed. I suggest buying a package deal to get the batteries. For ...

Heavy and unbalanced.
Would Not RecommendWhile this keeps me from hauling out a ladder, it is heavy and seems unbalanced. Somewhat awkward to use and after a single use I find the results difficult to maintain consistency.
