This is a replacement piece for the original. The original trimmer was awful. When trying to cut even small bush stems, it would make a “gear stripping” noise and lock up. Finally, gave up. Hope this new piece works better. Also, batteries on 2 other Ego products have gone dead and won’t charge.

Would RecommendI bought this hedge trimmer attachment 2 weeks ago, and very glad that i have done so. In the past trimming required me to use a ladder and extension cord to mange the cuts often taking me an hour each just positioning equipment for the short cuts. With this new trimmer I managed to cut the 2 hedges from the ground within 15 minutes and not have to worry about ladder safety or extension cords.
