It plugs the combustion chamber and makes a spark to ignite the fuel. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Green Spark

Decided to give the loyal steed a tune up this year. It had been about 3 years and it was showing signs of being tired and unresponsive. I picked this up because its "better" for the environment and it promised a better spark etc. After oil change, fuel treatment, air filter cleaned, muffler cleaned and sharpening of the blade I replaced the spark of the mighty beast. I can honestly report that it started like when it did 11 years ago right out of the box. If not perhaps better. Effortless...

I replaced my spark plug to get ready for the new season. The engine started on the first pull and runs great.

Keeps a clean electrode

At first I thought the large electrode was a gimmick on this spark plug but I discovered the tip was clean, no fouling with any oil in the cylinder. (I would argue these small displacement air-cooled engines leak a little into the cylinder).
