Would RecommendI bought this because of the quantity available. I messed up a section of my porch & needed more than a normal amount of filler. Also, it’s cost effective since I don’t have to worry about the rest of the container drying out before I can use it up. Less waste of product & $
Great For All Projects
This is an extremely good product for those who fix older furniture with cracks or dents that need filling. This product dries very hard and is sand able. If you want to use with stain you have to add the stain to the powder instead of water it is better when painting.

The Best Filler!
I use Durham's for years and it's the best product for wood. The great thing about it is you can mix it thick or thin for your project especially small cracks. I use vinegar ( directions) with the mix and it works better, giving you more time before it hardens. The one thing you need to know is this filler once it's dried needs to be sealed with a primer or waterproof sealer especially outside! If you don't rain will deteriorate the filler making it useless so inside & out I seal it. It's sa...
Durham's crack filler compound
Would RecommendI had seen this item on the shelf but, never cared to try it as I normally use the crack filler in the tube. Have three 6X6X14' post with many deep cracks that I needed to paint. To big of a job for the tube fillers, thought I would try this. Having to mix is a bit but, I can get the thickness that I desire. Need to mix and apply so don't go overboard and mix more than a 6 oz as it dries rapidly. After about 10 min you can scrape off the overflows and sand the rest down the next day. Works...

This is great for filling in cracks in wood.
Would RecommendLowe's always has this in stock in 2 sizes. I like to work with this in lieu of regular wood putty because I can adjust both the quantity and the thickness for each type of job. A little bit goes a long way and shelf life is awesome.

Does a great job for repairs!
Would RecommendI used this product to repair the wood at the bottom of the garage doors that had rotted out over the years. After cleaning out the rotted wood I mixed and applied this to fill in the voids. Let it cure for a day and a half and then sanded it smooth and painted. You would never know anything had been repaired. Great product.
Great for craft projects!
Would RecommendI make vases out of paper mache and this water putty. Some of them I make out of cement and this is the finishing layer before painting. Either way it's a great product for crafts and I'm sure home projects / touch-ups as well. Really easy to work with, add as much or as little water as you need for the application. I've made it very thin and painted it on, as well as thicker and used a putty knife to apply.
