Does the job

The stem feels cheap and even when you turn the faucet handle can tell that the stem is plastic. It does the job of fixing a leaking faucet, but I would not buy this if there were more options on the market.

This cartridge is an exact replacement for my Delta faucet so it fit perfectly. I replaced the seat and spring at the same time and have had no dripping since. I have used these before on other Delta faucets and gotten very good results with them. They have lasted years without further leakage.

Just call Delta and they will supply all of the parts free of charge. I purchased my faucet from Lowe's in 2007 and the parts are on their way. They have a lifetime Warranty. They are sending the hot and cold cartridges along with all of the other parts.

JUST WHAT WE NEEDED

THE FAUCET STEM FIXED OUR SLOW LEAK FROM THE FAUCET ON OUR INDOOR CORNER TUB, THAT WAS BECOMING A FAST LEAK. THE OLD ONE APPEARED TO BE FINE, THE RUBBER WASHER LOOKED FINE, BUT THERE WAS SLIGHT SCORING ON THE LOWER METAL PLATE. I GUESS THAT IS WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. LEAK FIXED! MY CONCERN IS THAT I HAD TO PICK THROUGH MANY BAGS TO FIND THE DELTA BRAND. THE OTHER BRAND LOOKED THE SAME, EXCEPT THE SPRING AND RUBBER WASHER (NOT ONE IN THE PIC) WERE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. Easy Fix

The hardest part of fixing the leak from my Delta faucet was figuring out what part it was, that I needed. Once I got past that, it was a simple matter of removing the handle and dropping this straight in. This will fix a leak from under the handle NOT a dripping faucet. Where is the brass, spring, and seat?

The title states brass. But this is all plastic. Which is exactly what I was looking for. This genuine delta part is identical to the plastic unit it replaced from 2000. For the price of this I really wish the seat and spring were included. Knowing I needed them I purchased them at the same time. With all the parts in hand took about 5 minutes to swap out and now I have a leak free faucet.

Exactly What I Needed

My Delta Kitchen faucet developed a leak in the stem after nineteen years of use. I purchased the off brand at Lowes which fixed the stem leak, but worked properly for only one month, I then found that Lowes carries the Delta brand replacement parts, so I purchased them. The parts fit properly and perform excellently. I expect this repair to last many times longer.

the packaging for this item does not include installation instructions to include diagrams, nor does the web site diagrams include the additional parts and where they are to be installed~i.e. small spring and small black cap....nor does it say anything about plastic versus brass center and if the 2 types are interchangeable see part 1~the stem being removed and replaced with a brass fitting....no where when I removed this part was there a black cap or spring to be found... see part 2~ this is ...

Identical to the old one. Easy to install. Except the old one had a piece of plastic that broke off in the seat. Be sure the seat is clean and go ahead and replace the washer and spring while you are there.
